there are many methods to join the IAF...

considering u are joining it immediately after your 12th examination, the best opiton is to appear for the NDA exams.

NDA examinations are the best gateway to join the combined defence services in india. they are conducted by the ministry of defence twice a year.

ELIGIBLITY:

1. u must hav completed 10+2 .

2.AGE- between 16and a hlf to 19 years.

How to join IAF after 2 without appearing in NDA

dear friend ,

yes there are two ways to join the Indian air force actually.

first way is through the NDA( national defense academy) exam.

this exam is conducted for two times in one year.
the students of age between the 16.5 to 19 years can apply for this exam.
means you can also apply for this exam as you have completed the 12th mentioned that your age must be between the age limit criteria which mentioned above.

second way to join the indian air force is after the graduation completion .

after the completion of the graduation from the recognized Indian university in any discipline you can apply for the entrance exam of IAFA ( Indian air force academy ) conducted by the UPSC ( UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION ).
age limit criteria for this exam is 21 to 30 years.
there is relaxation of 3 and 5 years from the upper age limit for the OBC and SC/ST category candidates.

this exam is conducted for once in a year.

to join the air force of the India you must have to crack the entrance exam conducted by the upsc.

there are some requirements or the eligibility criteria to appear in this entrance exam.

1) age of the candidate must be between 16 and half to 19 years.
2) candidate must have passed 10+2 exam with physics and mathematics subjects.
3) nationality of the candidate must be Indian.
4) only male candidates can apply for the entrance exam of the Indian air force academy.

see if you have passed the 12th exam with the subjects physics and maths then you will be allowed to write the iaf entrance exam mentioned that you passes all above requirements.

There is no exam like GRF exam, it can be JRF exam which is Junior Research Fellowship Exam. I suggest you to check it , detailed Eligibility criteria for JRF exam is given below .

Eligibility criteria JRF

You must have at least 28 years of age.
You will get Relaxation up to 5 years for SC or ST or OBC or PH or VH categories.
If you are L.L.M. Degree holder will be given 3 years relaxation in age .


Any candidate can get Maximum relaxation in terms of age is 5 years .

You can write NDA(national defence academy) exam conducted by UPSC(union public service commission) or CDS(common defence service)

* Candidates should be the citizen of India.
* Candidates should have age limit within 16.5 to 19 years
* Candidates should complete 12th from a recognized institute
* Candidates should study maths and physics at 12th.
* Unmarried male candidates can only appear the exam.
* Candidates should be physically fit.

If you have the above eligibility then you can join IAF officer.

If you want to join IAF after 12th you have to qualify N.D.A exam.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

You are only eligible for NDA Entry which is only for boys not for girls. Age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.
Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
