In Indian Forest Service Exam, you will have to select two subjects for your optional papers, where each subject will have two papers.

You may select any two subjects from the following list of subjects:

Agriculture-Agricultural Engineering-Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science-Botany-Chemistry-Chemical Engineering-Civil Engineering-Forestry-Geology-Mathematics-Mechanical Engineering-Physics-Statistics-Zoology

Since you need to select two subjects for your optional papers, you can not take the following combination of subjects:
  • Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering
  • Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
  • Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Any two Engineering subjects
