to apply for cat you should have 50% marks in aggregate. it doesn't matter how much % marks you have In 10+2 & 10th .for St/Sc the minimum % marks in graduation is 45% to apply for cat. Regards sanjeeb |

I did my Bachelors in Airlines, Tourism and Hospitality Management securing aggregate 64% marks. Will i be eligible to go for MBA though i did'nt had Maths in my Bachelor subjects and in which specialization i should go for MBA?

The 10th and 12th class percentage are not required for applying in cat exam. The only required percentage are 50 of gradution for unreserved class and 45 for reserved class candidate for applying in cat.

First of all you should complete your gradution with or more than 50%. This should be enough for applying for cat exam.

CAT is toughest entrance exam compared to all exams.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 1.The minimum eligibility to appear the cat exam is GRADUATION 2.You should have minimum 50% aggregate in all academic career. The main purpose of cat is it is an entrance exam for MBA. The cat exam consists of aptitude questions,reasoning questions,verbal questions.To clear the exam you should have good english knowledge. |

The percentage of marks secured in 10th and 12th has no relevance for appearing CAT.
CAT - COMMON ADMISSION TEST is an entrance test conducted by IIM(Indian Institute of Management) for admission to post graduation course of MBA(Master in Business Administration) in top business schools under IIMs. The eligible candidate should have completed graduation from any stream with at least 50% marks from a recognised University, can apply for CAT. Common Admission Test(CAT) is the one of the best entrance examination for Master of Business Administration(MBA).
The eligibility criteria dfor the same is as under- 1. You Must have a graduation degree from any recognized university. 2. You must secured at least 50% marks in your degree. To apply for cat your Graduation Percentage is considered so it doesn't matter how much % marks you have secured in classes 10th & 12th respectively. The minimum % of marks in graduation is 50% and for St/Sc the minimum % should have 45% marks in aggregate. |

You are eligible to to appear for CAT regardless your aggregate in 10th and 12th. After getting good score in CAT you are eligible for TOP most MBA colleges. i have 56%PCM in 12 std. and 65% overall.am i eligible for iim-a or cat.if i write improvement board exam next year and get good percentage. will they accept those marks.i fear b cos dis my goal unfortunately im down in 12 board performance. i believe success and failure as events but no a person. does CAT administration feel the same and giv me a chance?

CAT stands for Common Admission Test. CAT is an all India entrance exam for MBA. CAT is conducted only once in a year. First I will tell you that the percentage of 10th and 12th not require to eligible CAT.
But your percentage in 10th and 12th effect or affect on your interview marks. So if you have good percentage then in 10th and 12th its good to create atmosphere in interview. But you must have minimum 50% marks in graduation then and then only you are eligible to apply CAT or any other entrance exam. Eligibility for CAT Entrance Exam : - Any one who have Graduation degree(3 year degree) in any stream with 50% marks is eligible for apply for MBA exam. - Minimum marks requires for SC/ST candidates to appear in CAT exam-45%. - Final year students are also eligible for appearing in CAT exam. - There is no age criteria. Its nice to see that you are eager about cracking CAT. CAT Stands for Common Admission Test. CAT is referred as the toughest examination in India. Students give the CAT Examination to get admission in the top IIMs. The Eligibility Criteria required for CAT are : * you must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university. * You must have a minimum of 60% marks in graduation. * There is no age bar for this examination.
