The 10th and 12th class percentage are not required for applying in cat exam. The only required percentage are 50 of gradution for unreserved class and 45 for reserved class candidate for applying in cat.

The eligibility criteria dfor the same is as under-

2. You must secured at least 50% marks in your degree.

To apply for cat your Graduation Percentage is considered so it doesn't matter how much % marks you have secured in classes 10th & 12th respectively.

Default Minimum percentage required in 10th and 12th standard for CAT.

CAT exam is not dependent upon 10th or 12th class's percentage. It sometime depend upon percentage of graduation. Minimum percentage in graduation is 50% to allow in CAT exam and 45% in 10th and 12th standard.
If you get a good rank in CAT exam, then you get admission in a reputed college.

Dear pal,
  • CAT is conducted for admitting the aspirants to the Masters in business administration. The eligibility for which is a bachelor degree from any discipline. You need to have secured a minimum marks of 50% for you to write the exam.
  • The marks which you have secured in 10th and 2 do not matters. The only requirement is that you should have secured pass percentage without which you will not be able to do your degree itself.
  • choose the bachelor degree of your interest no matters whether it is a three years course or four years course.
  • But to make your masters degree easy it would be better if you have good knowledge in business mathematics, commerce etc. You can also do well in the course without the knowledge of it also.
