In order to join Indian Navy after +2, you will have to qualify NDA-NA exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

The eligibility criteria for the exam are as follows:
Must have studied Maths and Physics in the higher secondary level.
Must be within the age limit of 16 years 6 months - 19 years

Th examination comprise of two paper carrying 300 marks each:

• General Ability Test
• Mathematics

After qualifying the written exam, you will have to go through an Interview conducted by SSB.

Hey friend,

Indian Navy is one of the Indian Defence Service

The minimum qualification which you would need to join in Indian Navy as early as possible is that you should finish your +2 from a recognized board.If you finish it then you can apply for the NDA Exam which is a defence service exam

This exam is carried out by UPSC every year namely as NDA I and NDA II.

Eligibility for NDA:

>> Candidate applying for the exam must be a citizen of India.

>> The candidate applying for the exam must be a unmarried male candidate.

Age limit for Indian navy:

>> To join in Indian Navy through the NDA Exam you need to have a age limit between 16 1/2-19 years i.e candidate should have born after 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st January 1996.

Education Qualification for Indian Navy:

>> The candidate need to have completed +2 with physics and mathematics as subjects with a fair percentage in order to apply for the exam.

>> Candidate need to be physically fit while appearing for the NDA exam

Yes, you are eligible to apply for Indian Navy through NDA Examination after completion of your 12th class in science stream.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy.NDA Examination are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year i.e., NDA I and NDA II.

NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings:

• Indian Air Force
• Indian Navy
• Indian Army

The Eligibility Criteria:

** The candidate must have to pass 12th class from a recognized university.

** And the final year of 12th class students also to apply for this NDA Examination.

** There is no any percentage restriction in 12th class.

** The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years. There is no an upper age criteria.

** The candidate must be male person & unmarried and medically fit.

** The candidate must be citizen of India.

NDA II Examination 2012

Date of notification: 05-05-2012

Last Date of receipt of form: 04-06-2012(Monday)

Date of exam: 19-08-2012(Sunday)

There are 2 ways to join Indian Navy after completing 12th with Science.

NDA

You can appear in NDA exam that is conducted by UPSC twice a year, between August and November. The eligibility to appear in NDA exam is:

Education

You should complete 12th Science with Maths. You should secure at least 60 per cent marks.

You will have to go through Medical test that will check your eyes, hearing ability etc.

Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 for NDA exam.

Height - 157 cms with correlated weight for Male.

If passed the exam and medical test, you will have to go through interview by Service Selection Board (SSB).

The second way to join Indian Navy is:

CDS - Combined defence service

This exam is also conducted by UPSC twice a year.

The minimum education requirement is Bachelor's degree in Science stream from any recognized university in India.

Bsc / Bachelor of engineering degree holders may apply for CDS exam.

Age - Your age should be between 19 to 22.


There is also a direct way to get entry in Indian Navy.

TES: You need to secure 70 per cent marks in 12th with PCM. Following which you can get direct entry into Indian Navy.

You will have to meet medical requirements and would be call by the SSB for Interview.

After 12 you can join Indian Navy after clearing NDA Exam and SSB.

The eligibility criteria for the NDA exam is:
1. Must have studied Maths and Physics in the higher secondary level.
2. Must be within the age limit of 16 years 6 months - 19 years.

N.D.A. & N.A. EXAM.(I), 2012 Notification : -31/12/2011 Last date for application form 30.01.2012 (MONDAY) AND exam date : - 15/04/2012

N.D.A. & N.A. EXAM.(II), 2012 Notification : -05.05.2012 Last date for application form 04.06.2012 (MONDAY) AND exam date : - 19/08/2012

NOTE : - NDA Exam is conducted by the UPSC Twice a year.

After passing 12th science you cn apply for Indian Navy through NDA entrance examination.

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good Physical Fitness , is eligible to apply for NDA.

The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th standard is eligible to apply for all three wings of NDA and candidate having no above mentioned subjects is only eligible for Indian Army of NDA.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

The written exam is based on Mathematics and General Ability comprises of all objective type questions.

As you are a science student having 12th you can apply for Indian Navy of NDA.
