Re: How should I become an IPS officer after passing 12th?
It is good that you have decided yourself of what you want to be so early in your career. So, only thing that is left behind is to know the path to reach your goal.
In order to become IPS Officer, you should have to crack civil services examination being conducted by UPSC every year. The complete selection procedure for this is by -Civil Services Aptitude Test -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview Here is the required eligibility criteria for the candidate to take this exam. Academic Qualification : -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. -Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation course and waiting for the result can also apply for this Exam. Age criteria : -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this Exam. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. You should have to choose 2 optional subjects for civil services main exam. I suggest you to go through the list of optional subjects and then choose the subjects which you are interested and opt for the graduation with the stream where these subjects are available. Start preparation for this Exam from the very beginning of your Graduation course. Have good preparation for this Exam and crack it. For complete information regarding this Exam, I suggest you to visit http://upsc.gov.in/ |
