Eligibility for Indian Navy :

Age criteria –

* Applicants should have minimum age 19 ½ and maximum age 25 year, this age limit is same for woman candidates.

Educational qualification – should have any one of this :
1. BE/B Tech (Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT)
2. BSc (IT)
3. M Tech (Computer Science)
4. MSc (Computer)
5. BCA/MCA

Physical measurement -

* Applicants need to be fit in all respect of physically and candidates should be physically strong and fit with running and exercise and must not be color night blind.

Other Standard Requirements are-

1.Height and Weight. Minimum height for male -157 cm with correlated weight.

2. Eye Sight. 6/60, 6/60

You can join Navy though NDA exam. Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates from science background can join with Navy. Your age must be less than 19 years. One can join Navy after graduation also through CDS.

Indian Navy can be joined through NDA and CDS depending upon age and educational qualification, the entrance exams for which are conducted by UPSC twice every year.

NDA - National Defence Academy to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. - The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Navy, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

As you are about to write the Higher Secondary Examination , so the best way for you to get into Indian Navy is through the NDA Examination.

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA Examination every year for those candidates who have passed 12th with PCM and want to join Indian Defense in any of the following wings :

a) Indian Army

b) Indian Navy

c) Indian Air Force

The Minimum Qualifications that you should have for NDA Exam are :

* You must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) from any recognized board.

* You must have PCM as your main subjects in 12th.

* There is no minimum percentage marks required for NDA Exam.

* Your age should lie in between 16.5-19 years.

* There is no relaxation granted to candidates of any category.

* You just be a male candidate as there is no way out for Girl Candidates to appear in this exam.

* You must have good mental and physical health.

* You must have Indian Citizenship.

Incase , if you miss the NDA Exam , then there is another option available for you through which you can join the Indian Navy.

the Second Option is the Combined Defense Services Examination.

This Examination is also conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission .

But The Minimum Qualifications Required For CDS Exam are different from NDA Exam :

* Educational Qualification : Graduation

* Age Limit : 18-24 years.

* Age Relaxation : No Relaxation In Age Is Given

* Sex : Both Male & Female Candidates are allowed.

* Nationality : Indian

* Physical Status : Must Be Fit.

So , Now its all up to you that for which exam , you are completely eligible.

You can Join Indian navy through NDA exam which is conducted twice in an year. NDA exam is conducted to fill 300 vacancies out of which 39 are for Naval Wing.

Eligibility Criteria

- Those candidates who have passed 10+2 with mathematics and Physics are eligible for it.
-The candidate must have completed 16.5 years of age and must not be more than 19 years of age
-Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for it.

Indian Navy can be joined after 12th through NDA entrance exam and after Graduation through CDS entrance exam.

HI!
If you want to join Indian Navy after passing 12th then you have to pass 12th with Non-medical stream that is Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

If you are from other stream like Commerce, Arts.

You can apply for Indian Army.

For joining Indian Navy you have to uqlify the N.D.A exam.

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

N.D.A. Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice.

Eligibility criteria for N.D.A exam:-
> Pass 12th with any stream from recognized board.
> Age limit should be above 16.5year and below 19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

To join in Indian Navy first you crack the examination that is NDA(National Defence Academy).NDA examination is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commissin) twice in a year.i.e NDA- I and NDA - II.

Indian Navy is one of the wing of NDA. Other two wings are Indian Air force and Indian Army.

Minimum Educational Qualification
1st condition – Applicant for the post of Sailor should have passed Class 10th or equivalent with 55% aggregate marks in Maths and Science. Alternatively, 12th or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in subjects of Physics and Mathematics.

Physical Standards - The candidate applying for the post of Sailor ( Artificer Apprentice ) should be physically fit for enrollment into Indian Navy. This capability is tested at the examination venue on qualifying in written examination and is termed as Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory.

Physical Fitness Test will consist of 1.6 km run that is to be completed in 07 minutes, 20 Squats (UtthakBaithak) and 10 Push-ups.

Medical Standards
The candidates applying for the post of Sailor ( Artificer Apprentice ) will be subjected to through medical check up conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed undercurrent regulations applicable to the sailor (Artificer Apprentice) of Indian Navy on entry. The detailed guidelines for medical standards are laid down in the Navy Orders (SPL) 01/1999 by IHQ MOD (Navy)and can be accessed by visiting the website nausena-bharti.nic.in
The candidate applying for the post of sailor (Artificer Apprentice) should have a minimum height of 157cm with proportionate body weight depending on the age and height of the candidate. The prospective sailor(Artificer Apprentice) should also have proportionate chest with minimum expansion capability of 05 cms.

Candidate applying for the post of sailor(Artificer Apprentice) should possess good mental and physical health, should be free from any disease / disability and have no cardio vascular disease, surgical deformities like Knock-Knees, Flatfoot.

Candidate applying for the post of sailor(Artificer Apprentice) should not have a (past) history of fits or psychiatric ailments Varicose-vein etc.

Candidate applying for the post of sailor(Artificer Apprentice) should not have any type of infection in the ears.

Candidates applying for the post of sailor(Artificer Apprentice) are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from teeth before appearing for the written test followed by PFT and Medical examination.

Candidate applying for the post of sailor(Artificer Apprentice)should possess Colour perception standard of CP II and Eyes Visual standards should meet the under mentioned prescribed standards for both the conditions that is with glasses AND without glasses.

The candidate applying for the post of sailor(Artificer Apprentice) must make sure that his eyesight follows the following parameters.Without Glasses, better eye should be of 6/12 and the worst eye should be of 6/12, while with Glasses the better eye should be of 6/9 while the worst eye should be of 6/12.

The minimum qualification for joining Indian Navy is 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

If you have done Engineering Diploma then also you are eligible to apply for Indian NAvy because Diploma is equivalent to 10+2.

There is NDA & NA examination conducted by UPSC and if you want to join as an officer after 10+2 then you can apply for this examination.

The age limit for NDA & NA examination is 16.5 to 19 years and only unmarried males are eligible to apply for it.

Other than NDA & NA exam you can also apply for non officer posts of Indian Navy.

Artificier Apprentice and Senior Secondary Sailors posts are available for 10+2 passed candidates.

for navy there are many streams by which you can go.. first of all completing your 12th then you can choose diploma or engineering but there are options in engineering i mean you can go through mechanical engineering and then write some written tests by the Indian Navy and some physical tests which you have to clear.[that means you should have good physique to clear this test]..

Hai, you want to know about Indian Navvy. Now you are doing 12th class. Now you can write NDA exam. NDA exam is conducted twice in year, in the month of March and August.
Course duration is 3 years.
Inorder to appear in NDA exam, we need some qualifications. They are
1.Candidate should be unmarried and male. He shouldn't marry until complete the course. if he marries in the course then he will be discharge.
2.Candidate should be citizen of India , Nepal, or Bhutan.
3.Age of the candidate should be in between 16(1/2) to 19.

Qualifications To Get Into Indian Navy

For getting recruited into the Indian Navy at this stage you must clear the NDA Exam conducted by UPSC..

Age requirements to appear for the exam is that you should be less than 19 years of age and more than 16 1/2 years in January if appearing for the NDA1 (April) or in July if appearing for NDA2 (August)

You must also be an unmarried male candidate

Educational qualifications required for giving the NDA Exam is to have successfully completed 12th with pass marks and from a recognized board..

Also, to apply for Indian Navy you must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your subjects in 12th..

Exam Pattern :-

Paper-1 is General Ability Test which will consist of aptitude questions and general awareness..

Paper-2 is Mathematics

After the written examination..you will have to first of all clear the Personal Interview and then the Medical Examination
