hi.. im asking this out of complete desperation.
i have scored a mere 52.6% in pcm(physics,chemistry,maths) subjects with an overall of 60% in all subjects in 12th.
im currently doing Btech Information technology and want to pursue MBA for my masters.

1.Should I dream the IIM dream?

2.Is it futile to even look for MBA after scoring such low marks in top tier MBA schools?

3.Do i have the overseas option available for MBA studies?Will international institutions scoff at such marks and reject my application outright?

4.what other options, exams can i give to get into other top MBA schools in india or overseas for that matter?

Dill logically im prepared and have atoned(im working hard now) but im worried about my past killing my future. Please counsel....

pleasw dont demoralise yourself
you can still dream of doing MBA from IIM
your 12th standard marks wont create any problem for your MBA
and work hard for getting into IIM

you can do MBA but first you have to clear your graduation with good marks
and you can do your MBA from IIM only if you do good in CAT exam and you have to clear group discussion & personel interview

good marks in CAT exams, then you will definately get admission

in newspaper told that for taking admission in IIM 70% is requiredin 12th. is it right?
now i am doing homeopathy so after 7 years i can give exam because i want to take time for preparation so any rule is published in

You need to have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline as eligible for post-graduate studies.

You can apply while you are in your final year of graduation.

So you need not have to worry for that just do the graduation and then go for CAT,MAT or XAT exams

Your low marks in the class 12 will not matter in this,All the best.

Don't be despaired like this. It is not that your every dream has come to an end with the low marks in 12th.

It is ok buddy. With these marks ,still you can go a long way!

You just need to concentrate on your graduation right now. Finish this with good percentile, then think for future career.

now, for admission to MBA, your rank in the CAT/MAT exam will matter primarily.

I think that top management schools require at least 60% marks in 10(+2) for candidates.
So in that case, you are eligible to apply for MBA entrance tests.

Think positive, be positive.

MBA can be done once the graduation is completed. Score well in graduation. But since I don’t know the marks in 12th, I am not sure what graduation course you can apply to. But no need to lose heart. MBA is still a long way, you need to first get a graduation in. Then appear for the CAT/MAT exam.With a good score you can do your MBA in IIM or some other reputed institution.

for doing mba from good institutions only 60% marks is required through out of carrier.so don't worried about your marks.as you have 60% marks over all then you will definately get chance in good mba institution.you must carry 60% marks in your b.tech.

When you are doing B.Tech. then you don't have to worry about your future and the MBA

you can do yoor MBA from any desired indtitute, since there is entrance exam so you have chance..

and now don't worry about MBA just focus on what you are doing right now..all the best..

First remember that IIMs are collection of mastermind students and enough weightage is given to 10th and 12th marks, so keeping this in mind, then only opt for CAT, otherwise there are many private business schools.

yes u can but complete your 12th in any of the correspondence exam i think they will just ask for 10+2 completion nothing else after your graduation u can definetly apply for cat the only thing is you should get good number of percentile in cat

I am really confused at the moment. I just completed my 10th. I have decided to take PCB in 11th but I wanted to know is there any future in medical? Then my MBA option will be closed. But i really want to do MBA. Should i just take PCM instead and do engg.?

Yes, you can definitely go for the MBA course after completion of your B.tech..
As you wants to get admission in IIM's then you have to appear in CAT exam..
CAT is the entrance exam for doing MBA course. IT is conducted every year by IIM's..
SO, you have to score well percentile in CAT to get admission in IIM's..

The eligibility criteria for CAT exam-

*You must have to complete the graduation in any trade.
*You should have 50%aggregate through out the graduation..

These are the only criteria you have to fulfill.
so, first complete the B.tech with good percentage of marks..

i got 78% in 10th and 59% in 12th, so is that possible to get admission in IIMs?

your marks in 12th wont effect you to join in MBA
you should prepare CAT and do well in that to get in to MBA.

you just don't worry becouse you can do MBA in any good collages.. your marks will not creat any problem. but you have to get approx 50% in your graduation.. after that you have to give the entrance exam like CAT/MAT/XAT etc.. than you can get admission in MBA...

After B.Tech you can do M.B.A.
M.B.A stand for Master of Business Administration.

For admissions in top college you have to qualify the exam like
C.A.T,
M.A.T
X.A.T
G.M.A.T
etc

For eligible in exam you have to gt minimum 50% marks in graduation.
