Information Regarding No. of Attempt in GATE Examination.

GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course at IIT college. Many other college also take admission in the M.Tech course through the GATE score card. If you are interested in the GATE examination then you can appear in the GATE exam in the final year of B.Tech or after passing the B.Tech course.

As per your question there are no limit of number of attempt in the GATE examination. so you can appear in the GATE examination many times according to own wish.

NOTE :- According to notification of GATE-2012 the pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply for the GATE examination. Only final year and pass out candidates are eligible for the GATE examination.

If you are in the final year or passed the B.Tech course then you are eligible to apply for the GATE-2012 exam.There are some change in the GATE-2012 exam. GATE Stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and this examination was Conducted by IIT's Every year.

To apply for This examination you need to complete your 4 Year Graduate degree course, means you have to complete your Bachelor's degree course in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture OR you have completed your Master's degree course in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications, Final year Candidates are also eligible to apply for GATE Examination.

But pre-Final year Candidates are Not eligible for GATE 2012 Examination.

There will be No Restrictions to apply for GATE Examination, So you can apply for GATE Examination many times and there is no restriction on age in GATE Examination. So, there is no limit for gate exam both in sense of number of attempts and age limit.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS FOR GATE EXAM

THE ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAM:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.

There are no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

GATE score is valid for TWO years.

GATE qualified candidates with Bachelors degrees in Engineering / Technology

programmes in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy as
well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science.
Date of Exam
The GATE exam is normally held on the second Sunday in February and
the results announced by the middle of March.
GATE Score
The GATE score becomes valid only after the candidate completes all
requirements of the qualifying degree. The GATE 2012 score will be valid
for two years from the date of announcement of results.
STUDENTS who are in final year of their graduation programmes can apply for this exam.

GATE entrance exam is held once in a year,this is conducted by IIT's to intake qualified students for Post graduation course in Engineering,Architecture and Statistical course.This exam score is valid for 2 years.

Eligibility criteria for GATE-2012 exam:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree in Engineering/Architecture/Statistical course.
or
Candidate being in final year with above mentioned course can also eligible for Gate exam.

Important dates for GATE-2012 exam:
Opening date for application form is 12th Sept 2011.
Closing date for application form is 21st Oct 2011.
Exam will held on 29th Jan 2012.

Note: Their is no limit for GATE entrance exam,candidate can apply as many times he wants.

There is no limit for number of attempts in the GATE examination. so you can appear in the GATE examination as many times as you can.

But remember one thing that everytime you appear for the GATE exam then each time you must be well prepared & possessive too in your thoughts so that you can qualify that not more than 3 attempts as as many attempts you will appear then each & every time your moral goes down.So better to avoid such type of situation.

There is nothing mentioned about number of attempts one can make in GATE exam.And there is no age limit too. As of now, the organizers don’t maintain the database of student taking GATE exam and use it to verify that every time.
So the main point is that one can make as many attempts to GATE exam as one wants. There is no limit on number of attempts in eligibility for GATE exam.Even there is no age limit either for appearing in GATE exam.The information holds correct until the GATE exam organizers decide to change the eligibility conditions.

One can appear in GATE exam , as many times he/she want...

Dear Friend , I would like to tell you that there are no fixed number of attempts for a student to give GATE exam , so you can give GATE exam as number of times as you want , but only when you you fulfill the required eligibility criteria for this exam .

The required eligibility criteria for GATE exam are :

--> You must have completed your graduation or you are in final year of such programmes.

--> You must hold a masters degree in any stream or in final year of such programmes.

--> You must have qualified exams conducted by UPSC/AICTE/AMIE.

--> There is no age limit for GATE exam.

--> There are no restrictions on number of attempts for giving the exam.
