Dear Friend
There is no limitation of number of allowed attempts in GATE. You can attempt GATE as many no. of times. Theoretically the above statement is true but if you see practically then, age plays an important role for attempting GATE. If you are appearing GATE then there comes two possibilities; Either you will go for higher studies or you will try to use GATE score for getting a job in some PSU like NTPC, BHEL, IOCL etc. You can surely attempt GATE 15 times but someday you will have the situation that you won't be able to use GATE score for higher studies or job because of your age not fulfilling the criteria of job or admission in higher degree courses. If your query is regarding 2-3 attempts then please don't panic. You can attempt it as many times but keep in mind that you cash the GATE score as early as possible. 2-3 years are sufficient to score enough in GATE to get admission in M.Tech. at IITs or to get job in the related PSUs. |

Dear pal,
GATE is a engineering graduate aptitude exam qualifying which one can apply for his master degree as well as for jobs in the public sector units like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL etc. To qualify for appearing in the exam 1. The aspirant should have completed his bachelor degree from the field of engineering or masters course in the field of mathematics or science. 2. There is no age limit for appearing in the exam 3. And there is no restriction in the number of attempts 4. The gate score is valid for a duration of two years. 5. Final year graduate can also apply . Eventhough one can write gate many times preparing for the exam after a gap will be difficult .so it will if better if you opt as soon as you finish your degree. Prepare well so that you will be able to get good marks in the first time itself. All the best |

my dear , -
1)you just need to maintain a focus on regularity ,time maintenance and of course on your work, Prepare notes after finishing every chapter. This will help you during your last days of revision. 3) Practice as many model test papers as possible. 4) While studying a chapter, do ask yourself following questions "What", "How", and "Why" and see improvement. 5) Analyze your score in model test papers and compare your performance periodically to see how you improve. 6) In case of doubts ask some expert or use forums to discuss questions prepared by experts. 7) Consult your professors and seniors in case of any doubts. 8) Join a coaching institute if you feel the need. 9) Keep yourself updated about the recent developments in GATE by either logging on to Learnhub or their official site. Check the latest syllabus and paper pattern before you start preparing. 10) Revise good luck !! |
