i have an query that how many times we can appear for gate examination?

• for Gate as there is no age limit
• and no number of attempts defined in GATE exam..
• and also there is no minimum percentage criteria ,

Eligibility for GATE Exam:

• **either Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture
• **either Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications
• **either Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology

THERE IS NO LIMIT FOR ATTEMPTS IN GATE EXAM.

You are free to give exam more times if you not selected.
you must have a Bachelor degree holders in
Engineering/Technology/Architecture.
or Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications.

there are only two attempts for giving the gate exam. you can even give the exam while in final year of your graduation. there is no age limit for the exam. the result of the gate exam is valid for two years. this means that you can take admission in m.tech on the basis of previous years rank also.
the exam is conducted once in every year. students who have passed b.tech are eligible to give the exam there is no percentage required for the exam in graduation. but at the time of admission, many topmost colleges like nit and iit can ask for at least 60% marks in b.tech for taking admission. but most of the colleges don't ask for the percentage.

Number of attempt in GATE examination.

The GATE examination is conducted by the management of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for the admission in the M.Tech program at IIT college. To appear in the GATE examination you need the following eligibility criteria :

Educational Qualification = Degree in engineering & Technology/ Architecture.
OR Master degree in any branch of science/mathematics/statics/Computer application.

Number of attempt in GATE examination.
->There are no number of attempt in the GATE examination. You can appear in the GATE exam many times.

NOTE : There are no age limit to appear in the GATE examination.

there is no criteria for this.

because any age you try for this exam.

criteria:--

*A master's degree in any branch of science or M.Sc. in Mathematics. Students in the final or pre-final year of these programmes are also eligible.

*A bachelor's degree in engineering/technology/architecture/pharmacy would also suffice. Candidates in the final or pre-final year may also apply.


This score card is valid up to 2 years.

There has no age limit for gate,you can attempt for that either after completeing your b.tech or completing masters...

If you are asking about the no. Of attempts for appearing in gate exam then be relaxed because there is no limit for you to give the examination.

The only important point is the pattern of the exam and the eligibility citerian.

Eligibility~~~
post graduate in science/statatics/maths/computer or applicants who are in final yaer course.

Applicants who finishes b.e/b.tech/b,arch

applicants in the second year integrated course in masters degree.

There is no boundaries of age in attempting GATE.....

You can apply unlimited times in GATE.

But you have to fulfill the educational criteria, and that is:

1. A bachelors degree in engineering or technology or architecture.
OR,
2. A masters degree in any branch of science or maths or statistics or computer application.

So Prepare yourself well and try to crack GATE in the first attempt.............

There are no limitations on number of GATE attempts.

The GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration, which contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only multiple choice objective questions. Each question will have four choices for the answer.

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE :

1. Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

2. Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

3. Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology.

there is nothing like no. of attempts . the only thing is your gate score is valid for applying ME for two years only. other than this you can have any number of attempts

and it is happened every year
there are no limitations-
for
no of attempts.
and age limit.

GATE exam is for admission in M.Tech college.By GATE exam have a chance of admission in IIT college for M.Tech degree.

GATE exam is best choice for M.Tech.if you get IIT college for M.Tech you will be very lucky because every simple student can't get admission in IIT college for M.Tech degree.

For GATE exam no of attempts are not defined so you can give many times this exam.There are no age limit for this exam.

One necessary condition for this exam is you must have bachelor degree.

If you have bachelor degree then you can give this exam many times.

My friend there is no such criteria for GATE exam..

The eligibility criteria for GATE exam-

1.One must have bachelor degree in Engineering, or one must have master degree in general field like (M.sc/MCA)

2.There is no such maximum No. of attempt criteria is defined..
So, you can appear how many times you want...

So, prepare well for GATE, and go for it...

gate result is generlly valid for two years so the best time to attempt the gate exam is t.e of ur b.tech
gate can be attempted many time bt the best part is to clear it in the 1st or 2nd attemt and get the admission in iits for mtech

Gate is unlike IIT jee where you can attempt only twice. There is nothing to worry about it. You can attempt as much as times you wish. Moreover, Gate score remains valid for 2 years.
Just take a look on the eligibility criteria of Gate.

Following candidates are eligible to write Gate
-> Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy course of 4 years duration.
-> Masters degree holder in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science. You can apply even if you are in pre final or final year.

GATE exam is one of the tough exam .it is basically contain the technical paper.

The gate eligibility departments are B-TECH , M.SC in SCIENCE , MCA .

There no limitation for attempts in GATE exam. so you can try for it in many times.

There is no age limit for GATE exam.

GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering ) is the common entrance exam All India wide for the young aspirants who want to pursue Master In Technology ( M.Tech ) P.G in top colleges in India.

GATE exam conducted by IISc ( Indian Institute Of Science ) and 7 IIT's together every year. The organizing committee for GATE is IIT Delhi.

Dude these are the important dates regarding GATE 2012 Examination , you go through it and prepare well for the Examination. GATE 2012 has some changes in the Examination pattern like

1. Application must be submitted in Online mode only.

2. Admit must be downloaded from Zonal GATE website only and there is no dispatch of admit cards.

3. You must use Black Ball Point only for Bubbling in the OMR sheet.
