Options for BCA students except MCA?

Hello everyone, i am a bca student and want to do something different......i secured 92% in 10th and 89% in 12th.......and i couldn't do engineering due to some reason.......and i want to do something very different.....please give any suggestion.........i can study and work hard if anyone give me right direction....plz help...!!

following courses will best suite you other then mca.

m.sc (computer science) after that p.hd in same field.Dont leave after doing m.sc.because between m.sc & mca preferrence is given to mca.

MBA in IT or ,marketing.

however, you can also do pgdiploma courses in (.net/java).And other similar courses from CDAC.

As your numbers suggest that u r definitely a bright student, i would like to refer u to do MBA instead od MCA after completion of ur BCA for a well known university or management institute like IIM ahmedabad etc would also like 2 suggest u to take career guidance from an eminent career councillor who will guide u in shaping ur future better.

As you told that you want to work very hard and a bright student, there are many fields available and you can choose the appropriate one of your interest where you could pursue more knowledge and enhance your skills by identifying the right field. It is you and you only to decide based on your interest to shine well.

your scores are good and bca is also good.....if u dont wan to do mca then go for mba......clear cat exam and get admission in top iims ....it does require hard work

you can go for an MBA, thats seems to be a good option for students like you

you can go for higher studies in different fields like mba or some short term training in some fields of your interest

I am also BCA student. Your request is same as per my request before 5 years. But I have joined in a MNC company and learned something different (not related to BCA) MLT department and now I am doing a ITC certified course related to purchase for changing my career as best. I suggest you to try this also.

Wow its terrafic score in your class 10th and 12th and you are doing BCA so you want to know that what is other option than MCA, then the other option is M.Sc. IT, MBA in IT, ALCCS from iete new delhi.

you can go for
m.sc (computer science)
MBA in IT or ,marketing.
you can do pg diploma courses in (.net/java).And other courses from CDAC.

ur paademic record shows u r an excellent student...i think just prepare for civilk services...u can do it..or prepare for CAT and take admission in any good business school like IIMs to pursue MBA

you can go for

1)MBA --just prepare well for CAT,XAT,MAT etc and get into excellent colleges like IIM,XLRI etc.

2)you can write bank PO exams and go into banking sectors.

3)you can apply in software companies like infosys , tcs.wipro etc

If one wishes to become a Software Developer or web-designer or wants to take up a career in Systems Management, then BCA is the best course to get an early start.

If the technical field interests you more, then MCA is a better choice, particularly if you would like to have a career in software development or databases etc.

However if you are interested in pursuing management as a career, then an MBA in IT or HR or Operations might be good to evaluate.

If you are keen to work in IT, you will need to back up your CV with a MCA and/or some relevant certifications like MCSE and CCNA for Networking or a DST for Testing. It may be a good idea to do a course in a couple of development platforms like Java, J2EE, C++, Dot Net or Mainframes and then apply to software companies.

You could go in for a course in Web Development and E-commerce technologies. Normally this course is of not more than one to one and half year duration and should cover technologies like ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, C++, XML, SQL Server, E-commerce concepts, Java and JavaScript.

you can go for MBA or CA after BCA.as both the courses provide you a great carrier.so the choice is yours.

except mca , bca student can do mba course and any other course which is related to computer field.

You can pursue MS in Computer Science, Information sciences etc. You are not eligible for M.Tech as you are not a BE or B.Tech Student.

if u have got more than 85% marks in 12th then go for actury course , it is the most highest paying profession, there are only around 300 actuaries in india (arguably)

on the basics of your marks ,really you are bright and intelligent student,
so i will suggest you to prepare for cat.
or mat,
means i will say to you to go for MBA.

I suggest you for MBA. After completing it you can get the knowledge of both in computer and management field and you can get a good salary package also after it..........

after bca you can do mba or be or you can go for civil services .......

after completing your BCA you can go for MBA or CA both the courses are very good and you will be able go earn more.

i think its better, if you go for mca after bca, because there are very good scope of mca in it field. otherwise mba is the good option for you.

i am 12th non medical student.i don't want to do engineering.what are other courses for girls(with high job placement)

now u r doing BCA and u don't want to go in MCA .. fine no need to go for MCA.. there are lots of thing u can do, like MBA in IT..

you are a bca student so everyone must have told you to go for mca, which is a right thing because mca after bca will keep you in same stream. but if you want to do something different then you can give cat exam. if you score well in that exam, then you will get admission in a good reputed college for mba. but cat exam will contain many things which you have not studied earlier. so you can take coaching for that and once you get selected in a good college, your life will get settled

Getting admission for BCA course is too easy, but the job availability is too less for only BCA pass out. BCA degree is of no importance today. The best option after BCA is to get admission in MCA course. MCA course can be applied by other people also like B.Sc. Pass out.
except MCA BCA students will go for doing MBA................
Job opportunity in call center for BCA pass out is higher, but in call center 10+2 pass out can also apply for the same post.
other wise YOU can prepare for UPSC.

There are thousands of line in which you can change the path of your life...
For example if you want to do something different apart from this technical line..

HI PRAGYA, there are many career oppurtunities in bca and after that.
only 1 drawback is that you are not intrested in mca...............,

there is no way in any IT or SOFTWARE FEILD,they have to join MCAin NAY REPUTED UNIVERSITY, as it is equivalent to B.Ein hiring point veiw of jobs in such companies............
otherwise you can join mba,can go with MS.

MCA is a good option to do after BCA it will give you more salary, status and also you can work with foreign companies.

but as you are not interested in MCA so still there are lots of options for you like

M.SC(IT)

I wil suggest you to go for MBA.

it has great demand and different from your field.

you will get handsome salary in this field.
otherwise you can also apply for jobs after BCA in IT firms like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO,IBM and many more.

except MCA, then you should go for CAT,XAT,MAT, and ATMA exam .Through these exam you can get admission in the top management colleges.After passing from this colleges you will get job in various MNC with highest package.
