In IES exam , If you completed B-TECH / BE degree then you are applicable for IES exam.There is not required any kind of Percentage Marks. So there is no specific percentage criteria for IES Exam. If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam 1.Civil Engineering 2.Electrical Engineering 3.Mechanical engineering. 4.Electronics and Communication Engineering. If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam. Any engineering branch are applicable for IES exam but you should go for above mention subject. The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate. Final year student also eligible for IES exam . Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time. IES-INDIAN ENGINEERIN SERVICE exam is conducted by UPSC once every year for recruitment of B.Tech. Engineer in the top technical post in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Telecommunication Dept. under Central Govt.
There is no requirement of any percentage of marks in B.Tech. for application to IES. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech. exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST candidate and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview. The written exam is based on the subjects from Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Telecommunication branch. For IES the min edu requirement is BE / BTech and there are not fixed that particular percentage will be required what you required is just BE / BTech and your age should be between 21-30 for general catagory and there are 5 years relaxion on upper age limit for SC / ST .

3. For admission to the Indian Service Examination, a candidate must have,
a.Obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or b.Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers ( India ); or c.Obtained a degree / diploma in Engineering from such foreign University / College / Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or d.Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers ( India ); or e.Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III / Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or f.Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959 |
