hi...there is no cut of marks for writing the indian engineering services examination ,any one who had cleared engineering or is in the final year of engineering is eligible to write the examination ,so you need not worry from that front and just keep all your concentration on preperation of the examination ,i am also attaching the brochure of the 2011 examination that will give you the complete details regarding the examination and also the syllabus of various subjects in which the examination is held

IES examination is conducted once a year by the UPSC for hiring students to the Indian engineering services .
Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the exam you must have got 4 year engineering degree in any one of the following : Electronics & Communications Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering OR Even if you have a M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject then you are eligible for the exam Those who are in final year can also appear for the exam. For general category :: you should be between 21 to 30 years For SC/ST::21 to 35 years For OBC::21 to 33 years Pattern of the examination IMPORTANT DATES:: Date of notification :25.02.2012 Last date of filling application form ::26.03.2012 Date of examination::15.06.2012 For more information::click here I have attached the list of post for which the IAS examination is done i hope it will help you to choose your area of working before the exam. |

Educational eligibility criteria for UES examination :
Dear friend, You must hold minimum 50% in your 12th standard with PCM and graduation level. Then you are eligible for IES examination. But you should be form these streams : 1.ECE 2.CSE 3.EE 5.ME 6.CIVIL If you have all these criteria then you can apply for IES. Best of luck...... |
