What is the perccentile i require for getting into iit kanpur in gate exam.??

Hello,
Well for getting admission in M.Tech through GATE in any of IITs you need to score more than 95%.
However you can also get the admission in NITs with more than 90%.
There are also many government colleges from which you can apply with less percentile.
The colleges are-
*Jadavpur University
*MNIT, jaipur
*Osmania University
*CBIT
*Singhania University.

And many other colleges in India offers M.Tech degrees.

hi, friend you need to have 96+% percentile then only possible, please check there notifications and apply, prepare well for interview.

minimum 99.5 percentile is required for getting inti iit kanpur.

Its vary year by year.

So if you have this percentile then you can apply for this post.

all IIT look your GATE score according to this you eliglble to admission in IIT.
but in this year IIT kanpur moves 58 marks in GATE approx,.

then there they arrange one personal interview round
if , you qualify this round then you get admissioned in IIT.
thats the procedure follow all IIT .......

dont worry... u will not get in...
but there r other options..


not to worry...i am opening a college in kabul,afgahnistan...we use GATE to take students...because hopeless cases like you do not knw wht to do with their rank....we offer majors in
1.general terrorism
2.arms dealing financial management
3.suicide bombing(separate admission test required)
4.de-architechture
5.computer hacking science.

colleges like IIT Kanpur depends on lots of factors,

for getting a call for Interview you should have upwards of 99 percentile

then final selection will depend on your performance in

PI, and your other certificates and academic history

Dear you not mentioned your branch where u need to take addmission,
by the way percentile for iit k is generally 60

You need to be under 300 AIR to get in to iit kanpur.
Percentile is above 98.

GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is conducted for the M.Tech courses in colleges like IIT, NIT, BITS, etc and many others.

It is jointly organized by the IIT's and IIM's.

As we all know that IIT Kanpur is one of the top IIT's in India, and so firstly let me tell you how much percentile is required by a candidate just to be minimum to be able to get a seat in any of the IIT's or NIT's.

If you want to get a seat in any of the IIT's or NIT's, then you have to score a minimum 850+ marks in the GATE exam which is out of 1000 maximum marks.

I.e A candidate has to get more than 95 percentile to get selected in any of the IIT's and NIT's across India. Out of them, the PSU's would also attract many for their own recruitment process.

So a minimum 93 percentile is required for you to get a seat in the IIT Kanpur. Still no surety that you would get the subject of your choice or not.
The competition is very tough, and so prepare for it.
