Re: Possible to apply for Air Force after passing 12th?
You dint mention your Educational Qualification nor your age.Anyways below mentioned in the eligibility details about the National Defense Academy conducted by the UPSC Board.
Eligibility details Age: Candidate belonging to the age group between 16 ½ to 19 years can apply. Gender This is applicable only to men. Educational Qualifications You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Final year students who are appearing for their 12th examination can also apply. You can give your first priority for Air force while filling in the application. This examination is held twice an year and about 39 members are selected in Air Force for each NDA examination. If your selected in the NDA examination you will be called up for SSB which is off a 5 day test and later followed by Interview. If selected in all these then you can see yourself as an Officer. As your a 12th student hence I can say that this s the best examination which you appear to get selected in Indian Air Force. You can even go through the Group Y examination to become an Airman in Indian Air Force.Airman is a lower rank when compared to Officer position. The eligibility criteria for this examination is candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 with science, arts, commerce subjects or equivalent vocational courses with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. The age group for this examination is from 17-22 years. For more opportunities it would be better that you complete your graduation course and then go through CDS examination and other SSB's. |
