IGNOU stands for Indira Gandhi National Open University. This is considered as one of the best university for distance Education. The degree obtained from this university is fully valid for higher studies or job opportunities.

There will be no problem if you apply as general candidate being a SC candidate. Problem arises when general candidate apply as SC as they require genuine reserved category certificate. At present, the last date to apply for July admissions of IGNOU is already over.

To get admission in IGNOU you need to follow few eligibility requirements which are mentioned below.

Application process:
- After the results are announced, you need to attend for the counselling.
- while attending for the counselling you need to submit few documents like school score card, graduation passing certificate, admit card, birth certificate, category certificate and passport size photos.
- Every certificate is checked and verified so if you have perfect proofs then there will be no problem otherwise they'll not give admission based on the category.
