To get into the IPS, you will have to attend for the “UPSC Civil Services Examination”. It is a common exam for getting into the IAS, IPS etc.
The “Application Form” and “Information Brochure” can be obtained from the “Head Post Offices or Post Offices” throughout the country. application notification generally released in the month of december

The only procedure to become an IPS officer is Civil Services Examination conducted
by UPSC every year.

The notification for the exam is published in Employment News, National dailies and
on its official website.

The Eligibility Criteria
AGE:
21-30 years(Relaxed 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates)
Number of allowed Attempts:
GEN-4; OBC- 7; SC/ST- No restriction, they can appear CS exams until
they fulfill age criteria.
Qualification:
Graduation from any Government recognized university in any stream.

The examination pattern

>Civil Services Preliminary Exam
The preliminary exam from this year is a common aptitude test which is
same for candidates of all stream.
>Civil Services Main Exam and Interview
On the basis of performance in preliminary exam, candidates are called for
Main Exam and on the basis of score of Main exam they are called for Interview.
The sum marks of Main Exam and Interview is the basis of preparing final merit list.
One is required to give his/her choice of service i.e IPS,IAF,IFS etc
If you want to become an IPS officer make your choice IPS at first.

The subjects/papers of of Main Exam:
>1 Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
>1 English Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
>1 General Essay type paper (200 marks)
>2 General Studies papers (300 marks each)
>4 Optional subjects papers (300 marks each). You have to select two
subjects from the listed subjects(see the list at upsc website).
There will be two papers from each subject and full marks of each
will be of 300 marks

For becoming IPS officer you can give Civil Services Exam.

IPS is a government job which is conducted every year by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission ).

You have completed your any Graduate degree.

The age limit is between 20 to 30 with relaxations for SC's/ST's and OBC's .

to become IPS officer first you must be graduate from any recognized university in any subject and your age must be in between 21 to 30.

then you have to appear in IPS examination conducted by UPSC named as civil service examination.

after cracking the examination you will be called for interview. in interview if you are selected then after medical test you may join as IPS officer.

to be successful in the examination you should read newspaper regularly. you should improve your general knowledge and also aptitude skill.

this is not so much easy. competition is very tough. so you must be prepare very strong to clear the written examination and interview.

You read the advertisement whose published by UPSC. Fill the application form with Rs 70/- IPO. Read all syllabus preliminary and final examination get preparing. If succeed you will become a IPS officer.

first of u have to complete your graduation.
IPS comes under civil services. It is conducted by UPSC.
This exam is divided into 3 section.
1) prelim examination
2)written exam
3)interview
There are total 27 subjects in it. You can choose any two of ur interest.
You must have to pass in all three exams.
According to marks you will be selected in IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS. . . . . .

At first you will have to complet your graduation then you get eligiblity for appearing in the exam of IPS which is conducted by UPSC.for appearing in this exam you will have to register first for this exam from the official site of UPSC.

Hello Dairiyapal,

In order to join IPS, you need to write the civil service exam conducted by UPSC.
The civil service is considered as one of the toughest entrance exam, so you need to prepare a lot and even a good coaching may help you. You need to choose your subjects well.

Prelims
Mains
Interview

If you clear prelims only, you have to undergo mains and interview.

hello,well the procedure for applying ips officer is that you should appear for civil service exam which is conducted by upsc which is done once in a year....the minimum qualification for applying for this exam is you need to have a degree certificate and between the age of 21-30 years...so all the best..

To become an IPS officer, A Candidates is required to have a degree from an Indian Recognised University And if You are In final year of Your degree course, Then You can appear in the preliminary examination.

The IPS Exams are Conducted in Two Steps, First is the “preliminary exam” which takes place in May OR June and the second step is the main exam which takes place in October OR November every year.

You can Apply for IPS Exams Only when If your age is between 21 to 30 years.

Yes,you can join for IPS exam as any Graduate from a recognised university or a college in India is the minimum eligibility criteria for IPS.

He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination.

UPSC conduct CIVILSERVICE exam for top service like IAS,IPS,IFS and for other government jobs.Even this onwards the pattern of exam also changed as it doesnot have any special subject and the paper will be same for all the candidates.

hi!

To become an IPS you need to appear in civil services exam conducted by UPSC.

IPS eligibility requirement:
Age limits - 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.

Educational Qualification - A bachelores degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized institute.

Minimum Physical Standard -
Height – 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
Chest – Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

The first phase of CSE exam is called CSAT(earlier it was called prelims exam). The examination structure of CSAT comprises of one paper consisting of questions from general studies and the other paper focusing on the aptitude skills of the students.

TO become IPS officer ,you have to give UPSC civil services exams.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Exam for IPS:

1.Age limit
21 - 30 years for general category,
33 for OBCs and
35 for SCs/STs .

2. Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

3. Number of Attempts

For it the minimum elligibility is you should be a graduate,So first complete your graduation,

and now you have much more time for it,
if you want you can start preparation from now also,

I m giving you the syllabus of the IPS entrance exam,
Go through it , you ll get a basic idea, the go to near by book store collect the references, which covers maximum portion of the syllabus,
From now you collect the Pratiyogi kiran ,it's a magazine which consist of all the compitative exam questions and current, gd topic, pis and all other question also,

To become an IPS
(Indian Police Service) officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year bu applying and appearing the examination.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

Apart from this the candidate should maintain the minimum Physical requirements such as:-

HEIGHT:- General Male-165cm and Female-150cm whikle SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST:- Male-85cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The civil Service exam can be applied through both off line and on line mode by paying requisite fee for the exam.

IPS is one of the All India Allied services provided, once you clear this exam. The post highly competitive among aspirants. Designations like DSP, SP , Commissioner are given to passouts after training for IPS. After selection, you will be trained for two in IPS academy in Hyderabad.

The notification of CSE Examination is going to be published soon next year in the month of February and eligible candidates may fill the application form online only.

No, offline application form facility is applicable for any candidates in this examination.

The examination is conducted in 2 stages, preliminary and Mains, Firstly, you have to cracked the preliminary examination, this is objective and there are two papers in this examination. If you cracked this stage, then you are eligible for Mains.

The main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the optional subjects for Main examination.

You have to prepared for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus, only then you will be able to cracked this examination, If you face any problem then you can join some good coaching classes.

1. A candidate must be a citizen of India to become an IPS or IAS.
2. At the time of filling the Civil Services Preliminary Examination,
3. the candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
4. The candidates must hold a degree from recognized university in any discipline.

Ips-indian police service is one among the prestigious services of Indian civil service.

To become an IPS officer you need to clear the upsc conducted Cse examination.It is conducted annually and is consisted of the following three parts:
Prelims
Mains
Interview.

The marks of mains and interview is added for the final list of services.
The Upsc website only mentions the following eligibility:
Any candidate above the age of 21 and has completed degree from a recognised Indian University is eligible for the exam.
So as mentioned above you can pursued any field of your choice and then prepare for Upsc and to get into IPS ,you need to have very good marks and a top rank , preferably in the top 150.
