There are basically two modes of entry into the Company Secretary course:

• As an Undergraduate
• As a Graduate

Being an Undergraduate, one has to enroll for the Foundation Program. Foundation Program is the first stage of Company Secretary course.

Duration of Foundation Program: Eight Months

Syllabus of Foundation Program:

English and Business Communication
Economics and Statistics
Financial Accounting
Elements of Business Laws and Management

However, if you are a graduate, you will get complete exemption from the Foundation Program and will be considered eligible to enroll for the executive Program.

Duration of Executive Program: Nine Months

Syllabus of Executive Program:

General and Commercial Laws
Company Accounts, Cost and Management Accounting
Tax Laws
Company Law
Economic and Labour Laws
Securities Laws and Compliances

The Company Secretary course, apart from Foundation and Executive Program, also comprise of Management Training and Professional Program; the final stage of the course.

Duration of Professional Program: Nine Months

Syllabus of Professional Program:

Company Secretarial Practice
Drafting, Appearances and Pleadings
Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency
Strategic Management, Alliances and International Trade
Advanced Tax Laws and Practice
Due Diligence and Corporate Compliance Management
Governance, Business Ethics and Sustainability

Duration of Management Training: Fifteen Months
