after compliting your B.tech you can apply for IES

for IES first of all u shu be a graduated in engineering..datz fruitful...but if ur graduated i as in done BE in civil,Entc or mech...datz more fruitful....for being IES..u shud b first graduated means received certificate from pune universty in any field

As i know if you want to apply for the IES exam then you should have a degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent. MSc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.

The minimum education qualification for IES is engineering passed or a candidate appearing in final year ...

there is no percentage requirement for applying IES

and syllabus will consists of all the syllabus of your 4 year engineering degree

If you are talking about Indian Engineering Services then you must have to be a graduate in the concerned discipline.

For INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES(IES) one should be an engineering graduate or in case of Indian Naval Armament Service one may have M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

Qualification required is B.Tech in engineering (In prescribed stream).

Age limit is 30 yrs.

if you meant indian engineering services conducted by upsc then your age must be between 21-30 years and you must have valid engineering degree or must be an appearing candidate or final year student of engineering.

For apply the IES examination the minimum qualification required is graduate in engineering. M.Sc students of Electronics, Radio physics, Wireless communication etc. can also apply. The candidates should have minimum age as 21. The applicant with 30 years is also eligible. You will get the detailed information in site of UPSC.

A candidate who intends to appear at such a qualifying examination may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but their admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite qualifying examination alongwith the detailed applications which will be required to be submitted by the candidates who qualify on the result of written part of the examination.

NOTE-2—In exceptional cases, the Commission may treat a candidate, who has not any of the qualifications prescribed in this rule, as educationally qualified provided that he has passed examinations conducted by other institutions the standard of which in the opinion of the Commission justifies his admission to the examination.

NOTE-3—A candidate who is otherwise qualified but who has taken a degree from a foreign University which is not recognised by Government, may also apply to the Commission and may be admitted to the examination at the discretion of the Commission.
