i kindly want to know the qualification required to become a CBI officer.

Hello friend,
To join the CBI department, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the Staff selection commission every year.
The educational qualification required for the exam is graduate in any discipline.The minimum eligible age, for the same is 20 years wheras, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

The examination comprises of two papers.
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic

The preliminary exam is is followed by the Main exam.

The Main exam comprise of
English language, Comprehension, Communication skill and writing ability ,Arithmetic and
General studies.

The application form is published in all the leading newspapers along with the "Employement News".

As to join the CBI, an applicant must appear in the Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam. This is carried out by the SSC all over India. The basic qualification requirement is to have a bachelor’s degree. The minimum age requirement is 20 and the maximum is 27. There will be age relaxation provide for backward communities.

sir i studying 12th standard.i am interested in cbi,so can u please suggest me that whether i should do B.tech before applying for exam or should i take any other courses for becoming an cbi officer??

CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) :To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED is Graduation from a recognized uinversity in any Discipline.

1)you must passed graduation.
2)age between 20-27

i had given ssc exam i.e. secondary school certificate. I want to take ARTS stream so which subjects i should take? what i do after 12th ? I do only B.A or any additional course ? after 12th in ARTS can i do any other course instead of B.A? if yes then which course i do? and after finishing studies what i do, where i go for c.b.i exam? and which exams i have to give?

The Central Bureau Investigation(CBI),the base of administrative branch of India, provides the information relating to corruption in Central Government departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings which is directly or indirectly devoted for the Investigation, Anti Corruption, Economic Offences, Special Crimes.

Eligibility for appearing CBI exam :-
1) Age :-
Your's age must lie between :-

(a) 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI

(b) 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc.,

(c) 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on the first day of the August of the year of Examination.

The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of SC,ST,OBC.

2) Educational Qualification :-
You should have a degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
