To join the CBI, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the SSC (Staff Selection commission) every year.CBI SI Post comes under CGL Examination

Graduation degree course in any stream from a recognized Institute/University candidate can apply here .

You have completed B.Sc in Mathematics so you are applicable for this exam.

Your age should be between 21 to 27 years (relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for O.B.C in upper age limit).

The Examination Question paper pattern : -

Part I - Written Examination carrying (400 marks )

General Test
General Intelligence and Reasoning
General Awareness
Numerical Ability

Part II - Personality Test (100 marks)

Physical Requirements for the C.B.I Officer:-

Height

Your Height should not be less than 165 Cm for Men & 150 Cm for Females

Weight

Your Weight should be according to your Height .

Chest

Your Chest should be fully Expanded to 76 Cm in full respiration

Eye sight

Eye sight should be corrected to 6/6 in one eye & 6/9 in other eye

CBI is controlled by the Ministry of Personnel headed by the Union Minister who reports directly to the Prime Minister of India. If your aspiring to become and CBI Officer then you should apply for Combined Graduate preliminary Examination which is conducted by SSC (Staff selection Commission). This exam is conducted once in a year. You can apply for following posts-
