The National Aptitude Test in Architecture ( NATA ) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.
NATA Eligibility Criteria 2012 : Any person having passed SSC ( Std X ) or equivalent examination can appear for NATA, however, candidates having 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subject, only are eligible for admission to B.Arch.Course. Prospective applicants desirous of taking admission to First year of undergraduate course in Architecture ( Bachelor of Architecture ) in India take NATA. NATA scores are used by admissions authorities of different Government, Government Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture, to provide common measure for comparing the qualifications of applicants, for admission in addition to their scholastic performance in 10+2 or equivalent examination. NATA Dates 2012 : Nata Test shall commence from 15th March, 2012 and can be given on any working day till 31st August, 2012 at designated Test Centers. However, some test centers may open late or stop conducting tests even before this date. Please check with the center before you go for registration. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The eligibility criteria to apply for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is as
given below. Required Educational Qualification: Those who have the educational qualification equal to 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination and have secured at least 50% or more marks or Diploma in Engineering (any stream) from an institute recognised by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks can apply for the test. There is no age restriction for the test. Individual institutes may (may not) have age restrcition for B.Arch. course. On the basis of NATA score you are can apply to the architecture colleges. The list of colleges that accept NATA score are given in NATA brochure available on NATA official website. The eligibility criteria of admission to different colleges might be different so there could be some age criteria in some institutions but most of them do not put any age criteria for admission in B.Arch. NATA means National Aptitude test in Architecture.
The Education qualification: the applicant should complete the 10+2 or 12th standard with compulsory subject mathematics from a recognized university. The candidate percentage of mathematics should be 50% of marks. Age limit: there no age restriction to eligible for this exam. Nationality: the candidate should be citizen of india. National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) organizes National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) annually for screening eligible aspirants for admission into Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) course offered at various institutes in India.
Basic Eligibility for NATA • The aspirant should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) or its equivalent examination from a recognized University or Board or Institute to apply for this exam. • The aspirants currently appearing for the 10+2 exam are also eligible • The aspirant should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination. • The aspirant must have at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination and also in Mathematics separately. • The aspirant should be physically and mentally fit at the time of exam. Age Qualification for NATA The aspirant should have at least 17 years of age to appear for this exam. There is no upper limit specified yet. |

NATA stands for National Aptitute Test in Architecture NATA 2012 Eligibility 1. Candidates should have passed class 12th with Mathematics as a subject or done diploma from a recognised institute/university/board with atleast 50% aggregate marks in 12th/diploma. 2. Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma having 50% aggregate marks and Maths as a subject can also apply. 3. The candidates should be resident of India and should have attained a minimum age of seventeen years as on 01st of July of the ensuing year of the entrance test. 4. Furthermore, the candidates should be mentally as well as physically fit during the admission process. NATA 2012 Exam Pattern The NATA 2012 exam is conducted in two parts: (a) The Computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test and (b) The Paper based drawing test. • The Computer Based Aesthetic Sensitivity Test is a test of two hours which contains 40 Multiple Choice Questions. • Negative marking is not there. • This test measures the drawing and observation skills of the candidates, their sense of proportion, critical thinking ability and aesthetic sensitivity. • The Paper Based Drawing Test is of two hours which consists of two questions with each question containing two sub questions. for more information you can visit: http://www.nata.in |

NATA- NATIONAL APTITUDE TEST IN ARCHITECTURE
If you want to be an Architect, you must start preparing for NATA exam.All Architecture colleges accept NATA score for admission. Percentage of 12th standard will also be considered for admission (50%) . Eligibility- You must have 12th degree from the recognized board in science, arts or commerce with maths. this examination has two papers , one of 100 marks(Aesthetic Sensitivity Test ) [1 hour]& second of 100 marks (Drawing Test )[2 hour]. NATA - NATIONAL APTITUDE TEST IN ARCHITECTURE in an entrance test for admission to Top Architectural Engineering colleges in India. On the basis of the NATA score the candidate can able to get admission to Architectural Institutions.
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen having completed 12th standard in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subject from a recognised Board with at least 50% marks, is eligible to apply for NATA.
