plzzzz tell me which subject suits me for the examination of ias?
i m cse engg

For prelims: U have options like Public Administration,Sociology,Indian History,Geography,Philosophy,Mathematics.. U can opt any one of these.. If u are interested in science papers like physics,zoology,botany,chemistry.. U can also try any one of these.
For main: In addition to the above,u have language papers also....

there are number of optional subject for IAS (main) :Agriculture,Management,Science,Mathematics,Anthro pology,Botany,Medical Science,Chemistry,Philosophy,Physics,Commerce & Accountancy ,Political Science & International Relations,Economics,Psychology,Geography,Sociology ,
Geology,Statistics,Indian History,Zoology.

these are optional,you can choose one subject in which you have interest.you are a technical student than choose science or maths.

Their are number of Subjects for IAS like agriculture, anthropology, political science, physics, maths, zoology, botany, chemistry, history, geography, philosophy.You can any of these subjects.
You are an engineering student then go for maths or science subject.

it depends on your area of interest and your strength or grasp of the subjects.
like if you are an arts student go for history,geology etc,
if you are engineering student better go for science subjects,

Hi, you are CS engineer and want to appear in the IAS so, you have to opt for the mathematics as a main subject.

it is totally based on your interest.....as you are cs engineer you should opt for maths as your main subject in my opinion.

according to me i will suggest you to chose either mathematics or history,
if you are very good in mathematics then you can choose it other wise history will be easier to you.

i suggest you for....Civil Engineering Physics ,Economics Psychology,Botany Medical Science.......because those are the very interesting subjects......but there are so many subjects of course you can choose from there.......what you like....

as you are eligible for the exam so you can option for any subject and give the exam,as it totally depend on the selection of the students.


so in my opinion you chose that subject only in which your interest is and which subject you can understand better.

better if you take commerce alongwith public administration. both have 18-20 % syllabus matching.

really it is very good one question,
since there is no any subjects for the cse in the ias examination so you have to choose the other subjects among the pool of the subjects given in the list,and choose those subjects which is interesting for you.

What ever the mathematical and science related subjects are enough for IAS. More than that you have to join and get training in any one of the IAS coaching class and get the proper guideline. Because the most of the question will be based on GK and the mental ability

Sir i have done bca in recognised university,but i have not mathematics in bca,so can i give the IAS exam.

It depends on your interest. Since you are an engineer so opt for science.
