Criminal Law including IPC and Cr. PC,

Constitution Law,

Evidence Law,

Prevention of Corruption Act,

Delhi Special Police Establishment Act,

Information Technology Act (IT Act) & Central Vigilance Commission Act (CVC Act).

~~ CBI In Brief ~~

~CBI i.e Central Bureau of Investigation its of two divisions one is anti corruption division and another one is Special crime division.

~Eligibility to get into CBI are

~Gradation from any recognized university in Criminology or Diploma in legal science , criminal and correctional administration and have to apply for UPSC Examination.

~Age must be between 21 to 30 years of age

~Syllabus for CBI

~Exam is of 2 hrs duration.

~There is no specific syllabus and it consists of Written test, then GD and then interview.

~Written test consists of Objective and Descriptive test.

~Objective Exam:- It consists of Reasoning ability , Clerical aptitude, English ability and Numerical ability.

~Subjective exam:- It include Essay in which 5 questions each on socio economic, Developments and communication skills.

SCHEME FOR THE TEST: The test will be of two hours’ duration and the medium of the question paper will be English only. The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answer and will carry a maximum of 100 marks. There will be a penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question. The level of the question paper will be that of LLB programme of recognized Indian Universities.
