Eligibility criteria for CID and CBI exam are:

> Candidate must have passed a Bachelor degree in any stream

> The candidate must have attained the age of 20 years but not more than 27 years. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 year for SC/ST candidates.

> Candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

The examination is conducted in three stages for both the examination:

1. Tier 1 - Written examination

2. Tier 2 - Written examination

3. Tier 3- Personality test cum interview and document verification.

Tier -1 Exam Syllabus:

• General Intelligence
• General Awareness
• Quantitative Aptitude
• English Comprehension

Total marks: 200
Time duration : 2 hours

Tier-2 Exam syllabus Exam

• Quantitative Ability
• English Language and Comprehension

Total Marks : 400
Time Duration: 4 hours.

This will be followed by personality test and interview of 100 marks.

Note: There is a negative marking in Tier-1 and Tier-2 examination that is 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer in Tier-1 and 0.50 negative marking for every wrong answer in Tier-2.

Is the syllabus of CID entrance exam same in all year...?or the syllabus varies year by year...?
