Re: What is the basic criteria to become a Navy Officer?
Dear friend,
See,the basic criteria for joining navy is you should be a graduate in any science stream Your age should not be less than 16 1/2 years if you are 12th pass out You can either apply for NDA or CDS Now , as you have a question that whether a candidate with spectacles can apply for the cadre post in the Indian navy . and I would say yes . This is because a candidate wearing spectacles can even apply for the cadre post in the Indian navy , but his eye correctness should lie between the given below Eyes criteria -: 1. Without wearing glasses you eyes should be corrected till 6/12 2. And after wearing spectacles you Eyes should be corrected till 6/6 . 3. If you are wearing spectacles due to Myopia than you eye limit should be maximum of -1.5 . 4. If you are wearing spectacles due to Hypermetropia than you eye limit should be maximum of +1.5 . 5. And also your Binocular vision should be III . 6. The Maximum Limits of Colour Perception should be I . And in case you are physically unfit than you will be non - eligible to apply for the post of cadre in the Indian navy . Because only Physically as well as mentally fit candidate are allowed to become cadre in any of the Indian Defence services |
