Yes you are eligible to pursue courses like interior designing. But before you select the course you must analyse your strength. Based on that select the course which will help you in making a career in the same. If required you must complete your graduation. Most firms are particular that candidates applying should be graduate unless you plan to start a business of your own.

Yes you chose the right thing to go for engineering after completing diploma on civil engineering. As after completing your graduation you can get offer of high salary as well as lots of more opportunity of jobs. It relay help you in future.

Joining procedure:

As you want to join directly second year of engineering of civil engineering you have to seat for lateral entry exam for taking admission. Lateral entry exam called LEET exam. This exam is mainly conducted by individual state board like Maharastra, Karnataka,West Bengal, Orissa etc. So you can apply for the one state or you can apply on those state you are willing to do graduate from a college. You will able to take admission on colleges on the basis of your rank means if you score good rank you will able to take admission on good colleges. Exam patterns of those exam are mainly objective type based on what you read on diploma.

Education qualification required for LEET exam:

1. Candidate have to pass 10th from a recognized university with 50% or more marks.
2. Candidate have to pass diploma from a recognized university with min 50% marks
3. candidate have to study physics,chemistry,math

If you score less than 50% then you have to contact your university according this. Or you have to try management quota or have to seat for those exam which criteria is less.

Colleges:

You will able to get college on the state you applied for .

Hi. I've completed B Tech Civil Engineering.

After diploma, you'd better study AUTOCAD, STAAD etc. These are the most useful and sufficient skills needed for a Civil Engineering graduate,whwther B-Tech or Diploma

You can do B.Tech in Civil engineering.

AMIE would be tough and will take years and is boring too.
