What is the criteria followed for getting job in Merchant Navy? Can you please guide me with the complete information on the same? It will be helpful if you can you can answer me as soon as possible. Awaiting for the quick response. Thanks!

Criteria for getting job in Merchant Navy:-

For the job in the Merchant Navy you must be a graduate engineering from the Mechanical branch from any of the Government affiliated board like AICTE OR DTE. Also, you must have minimum of 60% marks in your graduation if you fulfill the above criteria, than you are eligible for the job.

There are two ways for you to get job in Merchant Navy:

The candidate who has passed class 12th from non medical stream from recognised board can qualify the entrance exam known as NDA that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice a year to get job in Merchant Navy after completion of degree.

Secondly is to complete your graduation in engineering field and then you have to qualify the entrance exam to get admission in Merchant Navy.

Those candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board are eligible for Merchant Navy entrance exam.

Your age should be below 20 years.

Physical criteria:-

• Eye Sight = 6/6
• Height = 167 cms
• Weight = 50 Kg
• Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)
