NIT stands for National Institute of Technology.
Admission to NITs is solely based on JEE Main exam. To get admission into NITs, you will have to crack or qualify JEE Main exam that is commenced every year in the month of April. Application Forms are generally released in the month of December. For pursuing B.Tech from NIT, you must secure AIR below 5k to get your desired branch in the desired institute. However, under 10k AIR is also enough but you may not get your desired NIT or desired branch. |
