Civil services examination is held by Union Public Service Commission once every year. The motto of examination is the selection of capable persons for their recruitment at highest administrative post.

There is no such rule that asks for a particular percentage of marks in a particular degree to be eligible for appearing in the same examination.

The minimum qualification required for appearing in this examination are as following:-

* You must have the nationality of India.

* You must have done your graduation with any stream from a recognized university.

* Your age must be with 21 years to 32 years ( as per new norms )if you belong to general category. Also there is the provision of age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST candidates respectively.

Also the maximum number of attempts provided for different categories also varies as per the government norms.

The examinations is taken in three stages which are Preliminary test Mains and Personal interview held in mentioned order.

For further details regarding the syllabus, question pattern and other queries related to the same examination log on to the link www.upsc.gov.in.
