Re: What is the procedure for IPS and IAS?
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service
IPS stands for Indian Police Service Both these are popular civil services in India. Every year UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will conduct civil services exam to recruit the candidates into all the civil services of India. The complete selection procedure would involve CSAT Exam Civil Services Main Exam Interview Here is the required eligibility criteria to apply for this Exam. Academic Qualification : -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. -No minimum percentage of marks are required for the candidates in Graduation. Age criteria : For General category : 21-30 years Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, have good preparation for civil services exam and crack it.
