Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam after passing with 56.58% in 12th
Percentage wise there is no restriction in the Civil Services Examination.
Your score in 10+2 board exam would not stop you from appearing the Civil Services Examination. The minimum qualification required for Civil Services Examination is Graduation. So, you can apply for the exam after completion of Graduation in any discipline. You can also apply during final year of graduation. If you need to put specs for 6/6 visibility then it will not be a problem at all for joining in Indian Administration Services but it could be problem in other services like Indian Police Services, depending upon lens power. For Indian Administration Services you should be capcable of doing following, S: Work Performed by Sitting (on bench or chair) ST: Work Performed by Standing W: Work Performed by Walking SE: Work Performed by Seeing H: Work Performed by Hearing/ RW: Work Performed by Reading and Writing http://upsc.gov.in/ |

Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam after passing with 56.58% in 12th
Passing 12th with certain percentage of marks no way matters to the eligibility of IAS exam in fact there is no percentage of marks required as eligibility criteria.
To become an IAS(Indian Administrative Service) officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. To be eligible for IAS Civil Service Exam, one must be an Indian National. He should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. The selection is through three stages:- -CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam -Civil Service Main Exam -Personal Interview For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam after passing with 56.58% in 12th
Dear Friend,
Nice to hear that you want to give the IAS Exam and are planning right after passing 12th. My dear , IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and its a post which is given to those candidates who successfully crack the Civil Services Examination which is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission. The Qualifications Required for Civil Services Exam are : * You must have completed your graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. * Your age should lie in between 21-30 years if you belong to General Category. * There is also a relaxation in upper age as per govt. rules for those belonging to Reserved categories. * You must be an Indian Citizen. Now as per your ask , i want to tell you that there is no relation of Civil Services Exam with either 10th or 12th marks. The thing that matters as per the educational qualification that you should have is that do you have a Bachelor`s Degree or not . So , you need to think about the % of marks that you have got in 12th and just try to complete your graduation on a good note. The Civil Services Exam is conducted in three phases namely : a) Preliminary Examination - b) After passing the preliminary exam , you have to go for the MAINS Exam - If you succeed in passing the MAINS Examination on a good note , then you will be called for the interview , passing which you can fulfill your dream. So , start your preparation right after passing 12th so that you can get an ample time of 3 years to prepare for the exam. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Am I eligible for IAS exam after passing with 56.58% in 12th
Irrespective of your percentage of marks in your 12th class, you are not eligible to apply for IAS Exam as you have completed only 12th class.
The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates in order to make entry into any civil service like IAS IPS IFS IRS etc. is completion of Graduation with any of the stream. There is no minimum percentage of marks in Graduation is required for the candidates. The selection process will be CSAT Exam Main Exam Interview The nationality of the candidate should be India. One should possess an age between 21-30 years to apply for this Exam. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. So, I suggest you to opt for Graduation in the stream in which you are interested and complete it successfully Have good preparation for civil services exam from the very beginning of your Graduation. Wish you all the best. |
