Since, this is one of the most competitive examination conducted by UPSC, you should prepare rigorously so as to be successful in this exam. It is important to make your basics clear as majority of the questions will be from the subject areas studied in 12th class. General knowledge will form an important part of this exam and you should give equal importance to this section. You can get a better idea regarding pattern of this exam if you practice by referring previous year question papers. You try to optimize your time in attempting the questions. Apart from a good preparation in the written exam, you should also be physically and mentally fit for attending this exam.

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

The written exam comprises of objective type questions bases on the subject from English Language, General Knowledge and Mathematics. Hence one should prepare as per the syllabus with a clear idea on fundamental of the subjects from 11th and 12th standard.

One should regularly practice the previous year questions. If possible one should take the assistance of a good coaching Institute for preparing for NDA exam.

Apart from this one must be Physically and mentally fit to overcome the Physical Test along with Medical Test.

For preparation you have to prepare your self welly because this is a top recruitment programme, because this is conducted by UPSC and Indian Army.........

After clear this exam then you selection for SSb round after that you join in Indian Army.......

hello ashutosh
for nda you should have to labour hard and concentrate on english and maths mainly it contains gk and current affairs . upsc conducts entrance exam twice in year .
exam will be in two parts maths of 300 marka and general science of 600 marks.
the entrance is not so very tough you can qualify that by proper preparation , you need to be physically and medically fit and have proper weight according to height, and run 2.5 km in 15 min and can do uthak baithak and other exercise.
and you need to be bold have good personality and communication skill for the interview that will aafter passing the entrance test.

HI FRIEND
NDA is one of the most lucrative options to pursue for someone who is passing out of 12th other than CA. .

Entrance Exam after 12th for NDA:-

*The NDA exam is carried out by the UPSC every year. This exam will be held two times in a year.
* The candidates who get qualified in the written exam will be called in for an SSB multiple rounds of interviews. The candidates will also have to go through a psychology test and Group task which will also be carried out by the SSB.
*The candidates who have opted for the Air force will also have to undergo a Pilot Aptitude Battery Test. Furthermore the candidates will go through physical fitness test. The candidates are strictly selected on the basis of the merit list.

Eligibility for NDA Entrance Exams:-

* candidate needs to have passed 12th class in any subject stream. For the NDA Air force wing and the Navy, each of the candidates needs to have passed 12th class in science subject with PCM subject under the state board or its equivalent.
*The age of the candidate must be in between 16 ½ to 19 years. Candidates must also meet the physical fitness standards as laid out by the NDA.

Apply for the NDA after 12th:-

The application form for the NDA entrance exam is available in designated post office. Candidates can purchase this application form and fill in necessary information as required. The UPSC have constructed a computer scanable application form which the students need to fill. Along with the application form there will be an information brochure and an acknowledgement card and an envelope for returning the application form. Correctly filled up application must arrive at The Secretary, UPSC.

Preparing for the NDA Exam:-

NDA exam will require sheer hard work and focus from the candidate’s part as to clear various exams. The written exam contains 2 papers. The question will be asked in the objective type format. Candidates will have to mark the correct option from the 4 given answers. The subjects involved in the exam are Math’s, English and General Aptitude. The general aptitude part is further divided in to Physics, chemistry, general science, History of India, the freedom movements, Indian geography and latest events etc.
Candidates will have to work on their basic till 12th standard. It would be effective to practice with previous years question papers. May reference books and guides are also available for students for preparing for the NDA exam.
