tell me the qualification for food inspector as I wanna appear for the entrance exam

Qualification required for Food inspector:

Education and training:Some employers require occupational health and safety specialists to have a bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or a related field, such as engineering, biology, or chemistry. For some positions, a master's degree in industrial hygiene or a related subject is required. There also are associate degree and 1-year certificate programs, which primarily are intended for technicians.

I am a graduate in food processing and engineering. Can I apply for food inspector job?

I am a graduate in food processing and engineering. Can I apply for the post of Food Inspector. Now I am studying for M.Tech in food processing. What are the other jobs I can apply. I am waiting for your faovurable reply. Thanking you.

Eligibility for food Inspector
1. Undergraduate degree in food safety or related field such as agriculture, biology or chemistry from a recognised university.
2.enroll in the USDA inspection training programme.
3. 1 year experience in food industry needs to be shown on resume.
4. application is available from the official website of united fresh produce association.

eligibility for Excise Inspector
Age: 18-25 yrs.
Degree from a recognised university or equivallent
Physical Standard: Male
height- 157.5 cm.
chest 81 cm
physical test:
walking- 1600m in 15 min.
cycling- 8 km. in 30 min.
physical standard: Female
height- 152 cm.
weight- 48 kg.
physical test:
walking- 1 km. in 20 min.

sir is female candidates can apply for this(food inspector) entrance exam.

Eligibility for Food Inspector exam are as follows: -

1. Pass graduation in any subject / stream from a recognized university.

You must be completed the bachelors’ degree in any of the science subjects. They must have studied Chemistry as a subject in their qualifying course. Graduates in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology are also eligible to apply for the test.


2. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years
for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

3. Nationality - Indian

The candidate who gets through the exam will be called for a Personal Interview. The candidates if short listed in the personal interview will be appointed in various public sector undertakings.
The candidates have to prepare well for this exam. The pattern of the exam being objective will cover in questions from the areas of science which the candidates have studied as a major subject at the graduation level.

Food inspector exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) once in a year.



Eligibility criteria:

Candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university.

Final year candidates are also eligible.

Percentage is not required for this exam.

Candidate should be a citizen of india.

Age criteria:

Candidates age should be in between 21 years to 30 years,

3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates,

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates

Personal interview.
