I have completed diploma in chemical engineering and i have not been selected in campus interviews, because they give chance to boys than girls. Why?

This is not so, companies prefer boys and girls equally while recruitment process.
However, it depends from company to company. Apart from chemical engineering jobs, you can also do research in this field. Masters course like Nanotech, Materials, etc. is also an option. There is a huge demand for chemical engineers all over the world. |

It can not be presumed that it is gender bias in case of chemical engineering sector but companies prefer male candidates over female as the environment of chemical engineering sector is not conducive for female candidates.
Some companies recruit females also but most of them prefer female. Field work, industry exposure in chemical field is a bit cumbersome for girls. |

Re: Why do companies prefer Boys over Girls in Chemical engineering sector?
Normally placements of chemical engineers are done to companies or corporate house which are hazardous in nature, hence such place of work may prove dangerous to females, hence they avoid such risks and accidental death of a females because it will attract media and speculations but in case of male it will be a normal incident.
Norms regarding females in work place are quiet strict as prescribed by the govt, so companies abide by the rules laid by the govt or else such incident will attract penalty or compensation. |

Hi,
It is not true all times. Some times, in chemical engineering field, they will prefer boys due to different shifts. Some times it requires to work in night shifts in far away plants. Try for design in chemical field. Good Luck. |
