Hello,
I am very weak in English and appearing
my 12th Board exams with Commerce.
I would like to know that after my exams
if there is a recruitment in SBI then I am
eligible for applying?

No, you are not eligible to apply for State Bank of India (SBI) Recruitment being a 12th qualified candidate. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for SBI Recruitments is "Graduation" or Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. As you are a 12th Commerce candidate, I suggest you to pursue B.Com degree from a recognized institution to be eligible for

* SBI Clerical Cadre Recruitment - Graduation (Or) Bachelor Degree is required
* SBI Probationary Officer Recruitment - Graduation (Or) Bachelor Degree is required
* SBI Associate Bank Clerk Recruitment - Graduation (Or) Bachelor Degree is required
* SBI Associate Bank PO Recruitment - Graduation (Or) Bachelor Degree is required

I suggest you to improve English, as there is a sectional cutoff in SBI Recruitments. So you are required to score certain cutoff marks in English to be eligible for Interview.

No, you are not eligible to apply for SBI examinations because minimum educational qualification to apply for this examination is that candidate should have a degree. Without completing degree course, you are not eligible to apply. 12th qualification to apply for SBI exams that days already gone. They are already changed criteria to apply for SBI Exams. So, you have to finish degree to apply for SBI recruitment process.

SBI Clerical Eligibility :-

-> You should have completed degree course in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

-> Your age should be between 20 years to 28 years. Age relaxation is exits as per government norms.

-> No percentage bar is there to apply.

SBI Probationary Officer Eligibility :-

-> You should have completed degree course in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

No dear with 12 th qualification you can't have a chance to apply for the SBI Examination and In fact any other Bank examination. So for this you should complete the graduation first from any discipline and then start preparation for the Bank Exams.

In fact 2 years ago,there is a Eligibility for the 12 th students for Clerks in all Bank Examination.But due to some reasons (Competition ) they have been changed the Eligibility for all Bank exams.

1.You should complete the graduation first (In any discipline )

2.Then you have a chance to apply for the any type of bank examinations.

3.Final year students are not eligible to apply for the Bank examination.Since candidates must submit the Certificates for the Interview.

You have completed 12th board with commerce subject so you are not eligible for SBI recruitment exam.

If you have completed your graduation degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for SBI clerk and PO exam.

Age criteria:-

18 to 28 years(SBI clerk)

21 to 30 years(SBI PO)

Age relaxation -

SC/ST – 5 Years
OBC-3 Years
People with disability (PWD) –Gen- 10 years
PWD-SC/ST -15 years
PWD-OBC-13 Years

SBI Conduct open recruitment process for Clerk and PO post and you can apply for both of these exams only if :

You have a bachelor's degree in any discipline / subject from a recognized institute or university.

Age for clerk post should be between 20-28 years and between 21-30 years for PO post.

So as you have known that you are not eligible as per your current qualification but you will be eligible after completion of your degree course.

You should get admission in graduation degree and complete first but just do not pursue degree means you have to utilize these three years of time because if you give this time in preparation for SBI PO and Clerk examination then nothing can stop you from getting selected in SBI for clerk or PO post because preparation for three years is more than that of any other candidate preparing for SBI and other IBPS exams so you must consider this thing right now and buy some good books and get previous year papers and prepare well for examination.

After graduation you will also be eligible for IBPS CWE clerk and PO examination for various top level nationalized banks of India so finally you will get the job just do not waste the time and prepare for exams.

With 12th as Qualification , you are not eligile for the SBI recruitment for both Clerk and PO posts.

You can apply for the SBI Clerk or for SBI PO exam , only when you finished your Graduation.
Note that you should complete your Graduation from a Descipline university (Which is recognised by Central Governement)
And , Age shouldbe in between 21-30 years , for the PO post , for General category candiates.

Age Relaxation for the other Category candidates is given below

-> For OBC category - 3 years
-> For SC , ST category - 5 years
-> For Persons with Disability - 10 years


So , you should complete your Graduation . Then only it is possible for you to sit for the SBI Clerk or PO exam .

If you want to join SBI then you must have the following eligibility criteria.
Educational : 12th with 60% marks or graduate in any stream
Age : 18 to 27 (Age is relexable for community candidate).

To become eligible to apply for SBI recruitment,one has to complete his/her graduation first,only then one can apply for different posts in bank.
AS you have stated in your question that you have completed 12th only. Now you need to do is that you have to complete your graduation first.Only then you can apply for bank P.O. or clerk as per your interest and ability.
The age limit for applying for different post are different. For eg:-
For bank P.O.,it is from 21-30 years for general category.
For bank clerk, it is from 18-28 years for general category.
There is age relaxation for other category-
For OBC- 3 years,
ForSC/ST-5 years.

SBI recruits the candidates through 2 ways

1. Thrugh direct recruitment

2. Through the Common Written Examination conducted by the IBPS

IBPS stands for the Institute of Banking and Personnal Studies.

According to the notification released by the IBPS the minimum eligibility criteria for writing the written exam for all the posts under the IBPS are as follows :

* The minimum age required for the written examination is 21 years at the time of application.

* There is no such fixed minimum percentage criteria for the recruitment.

* The minimum educational qualification for a candidate is to be a graduate under the UGC scheme of 10+2+3 at least.
