I want to know that what is the minimum qualification and percentage required for appearing in civil services exams?

To join in Civil services department one has to take the Civil service Aptitude Test (CSAT).

Here i provided the information about eligibility criteria regarding the Civil services examination.

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

* Candidate can be subject of Nepal, Bhutan etc.

* Candidates age should be in the range of 21-40 years.

* Age relaxation is applicable as per norms.

* Candidate should possess bachelor's degree in any stream from any recognized university.

* Candidates should secure at least 60% marks or above in the qualifying examination.

Minimum Educational Qualification Required:

The minimum educational qualification required to appear in Civil Services Examination is "Graduate Degree" or Bachelor Degree from a recognized university. So "Degree" of a recognized university or its equivalent qualification is required. There is no certain minimum percentage is required in order to be eligible for appearing in Civil Services Examination.

Minimum Percentage Required: There is NO certain minimum percentage required.

Age Criteria: (As on 1st August of Examination)

@ Minimum Age - 21 years
@ Maximum Age - 30 years

To be eligible to appear in Civil Services examination, you must have completed Graduation or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. No percentage criteria is required to appear in Civil Services examination. The minimum age required to appear in Civil Services examination is 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category as per government rules.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for Civil Services exam. Civil Services exam doesn't require any percentage marks.

Your age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates. Age relaxation is given below -

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

Number of Attempts:-

For open category:- 4 attempts
For OBC category:- 5 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

Civil Services examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission every year for the different services like IAS, IRS, IPS etc. This exam has three stages:

1. Civil Services Preliminary exam.

2. Mains exam.

3. Personal interview.

>>The eligibility criteria for this exam is that candidate should have done bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. If you have passing percentage of marks in bachelor's degree then also you can apply for the exam.

>>The age limit for the exam is 21-32 years and upper age relaxed for the candidates of reserved category.

** Civil Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to the various Civil Services of the Government of India.

** The applicant should have a bachelor degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.

** The minimum percentage required in bachelor degree is minimum of 65%.

** The minimum age of Candidate for Civil Service is 21 years.
