Selection procedure of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018


Hi everyone, I have applied for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018. I want to know the selection procedure in this exam as this is one of the most renowned exam in India so I don't want to take risk. Please let me know asap.

Civil Services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year for recruitment to different services. There are three stages of this exam:

Preliminary examination.

Main examination.

Personal interview.

Preliminary examination is the first stage of this exam. Those who qualify become eligible for Mains exam. The minimum age limit is 21 years. Academic qualification required is bachelor's degree.

Depending upon your rank, you will be alloted different service.

The selection process of UPSC Civil Services are done on the basis of three stages:

> Preliminary Examination

> Mains Examination

> Personal Interview

Candidates who have qualified the 1st examination will be called for the 2nd examination. After qualifying these two examinations candidate have to appear for the personal interview where the final selection will be done.

Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted for recruitment as an officer.

The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify for each stages ( Preliminary, Mains, and Interview ) for final selection.

So, if you have applied for 2018 examination then you must do the preparation for the examination which is scheduled on 03rd June 2018.

A candidate to be selected as civil servant in any services needs to clear following stages of Civil Services examination:

1. Preliminary examination.

2. Main examination.

3. Personal interview.

Those who clear all these stages and are in merit list are given services according to their rank in merit list. Top rankers are given Indian Administrative Services then IPS, IFS and so on.

The selection process of UPSC Civil Services examination 2018 comprises of three rounds namely Preliminary examination, Main examination and Personal interview. Candidates who clear the Preliminary examination are eligible to appear in Main examination and the candidates who qualify the Main examination are invited to attend the personal interview. And based on their performance in the Main examination and Personal interview, the merit list will be prepared for final selection of the candidates.

Union Public Service Commission Civil Services examination is one of the toughest examination of India. Every year more than 5 lacs candidates compete for 1000 seats or less. The academic qualification necessary for this exam is bachelor's degree.

Candidate must be 21 years old to apply for this exam. The first stage is Preliminary exam which is the elimination stage where non serious candidates are filtered and serious candidates are selected for Mains exam. It again shortlists candidates for Interview. Rank list is prepared on basis of performance in mains and interview.

If you are within ranks released by UPSC, you will get service according to your rank in rank list.

Civil Service Examination is among the toughest examination and is considered as mother of all other examination.

For final recruitment you have to appear and qualify in all three stages. The three stages are :

Preliminary.

Mains.

Interview.

So, you have to do better preparation as per syllabus of examination for the final selection.

Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year. It is conduced in three stages:

Prelims

Mains

Interview

So, you can apply for this exam you must have complete your Bachelor's Degree. Your age limit is 21-30 years.

So, you also have fulfill these criteria then you are eligible for this exam.

Civil Services examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by UPSC for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the IAS, IFS, IPS.

The UPSC selection process happens in 3 stages:

Preliminary Examination (Objective Type).

Mains Examination (Written)

Interview (Personality Test).

Civil Service Examination is conducted in three stages, so for the final selection as an officer you have to qualify for all three stages.

The three stages are :

Preliminary.

Mains.

Interview.

The syllabus is not that much short that you will be able to qualify in examination in the short duration.

Civil Services examination is held by UPSC once every year for recruitment as administrative officers such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, etc. .

As far as you are concerned about the selection procedure of Civil Services examination then, it is a three step process in which a candidate has to first qualify Preliminary Test followed by Mains and Personal interview.

Civil Services is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year to recruit for different posts.
