Quote:
No, your son will not come under OBC Non Creamy Layer (NCL) as his parents annual income is 18 Lakhs. The students whose family income is less than 6 Lakhs per annum will be considered for OBC Non Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate. Your son will not get the OBC reservation benefits because his parents’ income is 18 Lakhs per annum. The creamy layer status will be determined based on the income of student’s parents (father and mother). |

Your son will fall under the creamy layer of Other Backward Class (OBC) and your son will not get any benefit which the reserved candidates receive. To fall under the non-creamy layer of OBC and to receive all the benefits which the reserved candidates enjoy the income of the parent should be Rs. 6 Lac per annum or within Rs. 6 Lac per annum as per the revised schedule.

No, your son will not come under non creamy layer and will not get any OBC reservation because annual income is way above the required level.
The minimum income to get OBC reservation benefit is 6 lakhs per annum. Hence, your son will be treated as general category candidate. |
