Since, the Bar Council of India is trying to fix an age limit for candidates pursuing for LLB course. As of now, the issue is in court and may universities are still admitting candidates of any age. So, there is no issue with your age limit. You are definitely eligible for LLB course. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for LLB is Graduation or its equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university.

Yes, you can study law course because there are no age criteria.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible for Law course.

Eligibility for LLB course:-

A graduation degree in any stream from a recognised University

A minimum of 45% marks in the graduation course

SC/ST candidates need 40% marks

Age limit:-

The age limit for LLB course is 30 years

The age limit for SC/ST is 35 years

As you are now 38 years, so you are not eligible for any Law Degree. However you may take a degree in Law through correspondence course.

Some of the Universities offering these course:-

Icfai University

Centre for Distance Education

Mahatma Gandhi University

School of Distance Education

Annamalai University

But these colleges Bachelor of Law Degrees which are not recognised by the Bar Council of India.

The eligibility criteria for LLB is as follows :

* The candidate must have completed his education from a recognized university under the scheme of 10+2+3 at least.

* The candidate must have possessed at least 50% marks in the graduation.

* The candidate must have attained an age of 21 years at the time of admission.

If you fulfill the above said criteria then you can definitely go for LLB.
