Re: Can I do Law course after completion of B.E Civil Engineering?
Yes you can do the law courses after completing your Bachelor degree in Civil engineering as the minimum qualification for pursuing law course is a intermediate course from a recognized institute .
The popular law course is Bachelor of legislative law ( LLB ) .The same course is of two types on the basis of duration of duration of course and level of education . The first type is of 3 years for the students having their bachelor degree from any recognized university with any stream and other type is of 5 years for the students having completed their senior secondary studies from a recognized institute with any stream . Also to pursue this course from a top university you must have crack the Common law admission test examination for which your age must be below 20 years at the time of registration .Also registration for the same examination for each new session is done from 1st January to 31st March of each year .For more information about the pattern of examination and the for registering log on to the link www.clat.ac.in . |

The eligibility criteria for LLB course after graduation are following:- -The candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. -The duration for this LLB course is 3 years. -There is no upper age-limit for admission. However a candidate must be at least 17 years of age on the date of application. - A graduation degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) is the basic qualification required. |

Re: Can I do Law course after completion of B.E Civil Engineering?
# There are two ways of getting law degree :
* 5 years integrated course in law after 10+2. * 3 years integrated course in law after graduation in any field. # It is the knowledge of advocate which helps the Hon'ble Court in order to decide the decision. # Now you have done the engineering degree, so you have to go for pursuing 3 years integrated course in law, # It is beyond to understand that why are you so keen to enter into the profession of law even after completing engineering degree. # It would be better to make your career either go for M.E or go for job in government/private job. There are ample job opportunities and career prospects in engineering line. # I am not saying that profession of law is not good one. Actually, profession in law is highly rewarding and lucrative career option. If you still opt the law course, then you will not be able to make use of engineering degree. Your engineering degree will be wasted. Why did you do engineering? You should have to choose any simple graduation degree rather than B.E degree if you was already ready to adopt law profession at intermediate level. |

Re: Can I do Law course after completion of B.E Civil Engineering?
Yes, you can go for the Bachelor of law course that is called LLB after completion of Bachelor of engineering in Civil stream.
You can appear for the Common Law Admission test in order to do bachelor's degree in law. As you have done bachelor's degree the duration of course will be just three years. For 10+2 stream candidates, the duration of LLB course after 10+2 is 5 years through CLAT exam. In order to apply for the CLAT, your age must be less than 20 years on 01/07/2015. For OBC candidates there is upper age relaxation of two years. The percentage of marks in 10+2 must not be less than 45% from a recognized university. Once you crack the CLAT exam, you will eligible to pursue LLB from top national universities of Law in India. Official website of CLAT: www.clat.ac.in. |

Re: Can I do Law course after completion of B.E Civil Engineering?
Its very good that you want to relive the interest that u had.
See, According to the bar council of India, now there is no upper limit of age for doing the LLB course. Earlier it was 30 years but now that rule has been abolished. So, you have a very good opportunity to complete your LLB. Other qualifications regarding the same course is just intermediate.Since you have completed intermediate and even graduation so you are eligible as per the educational qualification. |
