No, there isn't any such criteria and you need only pass marks or above in your graduation from a recognized university.

This 50% criteria is only there in other bank exams only but in case of SSC and UPSC there isn't any percentage criteria.

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission.
SSC conducts examination to recruits students at various post all over India.

SSC conducts CGL for graduate students .
CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level.

Eligibility to appear in SSC CGL are
-Student must be a citizen of India.
-Student must be of age 18-27 years.
-5 years relaxation is allowed for students of reserved category.
-Student must have passed graduation from any recognized university in any disciple.
-Student appearing in the final year of graduation degree program can also apply.

Since, there is no marks criteria required to appear in SSC CGL examination.
So, you can apply for SSC CGL if you hold a graduation degree.

Also, the SSC CGL 2015 registration process in over and the examination will be held in this week , so, you can not appear in the examination this year.
You will have to wait till next year.
Notification for registration of SSC CGL comes generally in the month of May and registration starts in May and ends in the month of June.

No, its not necessary to secure 50% marks in graduation degree for SSC exam.

SSC conducted CGL,LDC,FCI,Higher secondary level exams. This exams doesn't require any kind percentage marks.

If you have completed graduation degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for above mentioned jobs.

But your age should be in between 21 to 27 years.

A student had to secured 72% in matriculation, 50% in higher secondary arts and continue degree.can he eligible to ssc exam?
