Percentage eligibility criteria in graduation for CAT exam?
Is it possible to appear for CAT even if I have less than 50 percent in graduation? Can work experience compensate for the same? Need a bit of guidance

CAT Examination is one of popular examination and it is conducted by IIM. The Qualification required to apply for this examination is that candidate must have possess degree course in any discipline. The course must be certified from recognized university. General candidate must have obtained 50% and 45% marks for reserved categories. If you are belongs to SC and ST categories then you have change to apply for this examination. Experience won't compensate here.

Eligibility to appear in CAT Entrance Test:
Minimum qualification required is graduation. Minimum percentage should be at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories. Age 21-30 years and relaxation is given to reserved categories in upper age limit. |

No, you are not eligible to appear for CAT examination.
CAT examination is conducted by IIM for admission of candidates in MBA courses. To appear for examination it is necessary that candidate have scored minimum 50% aggregate in graduation. So, you are not eligible to appear for examination. There is nothing to do with the work experience to appear for examination. |

CAT stands for Common Admission Test. The examination is conducted by IIM for admission of candidates in Master of Business Administration course after graduation degree.
The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidates must have passed graduation from any recognised university. Candidate must have minimum 50% aggregate in graduation. There is no age limit to appear for examination.But as you have less than 50% aggregate in graduation so you are not eligible to appear for examination. For CAT you need 50% marks in graduation if you are a general category candidate. Only reserved category candidate can apply with less than 50% marks after getting relaxation of 5% marks.
Hence, you can't apply if you are a general candidate. There are other options like GMAT and XAT which doesn't ask for 50% marks. |

To be eligible to appear in CAT examination, you must have completed your Graduation with an aggregate of at least 50% marks from a recognised university. In case of SC/ST/PWD/DA candidates, minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Graduation is required to appear in CAT examination. No work experience is required to appear in CAT examination. Since, you have secured less than 50% marks, if you belong to above mentioned reserved category candidates, you are eligible to appear in CAT examination else, you are not eligible to appear in CAT examination.

Candidate must have secured more than 50% marks in graduation in order to apply for CAT exam.
No, it is not possible to appear in CAT exam after securing less than 50% marks. No, work experience can't compensate for the same. |

CAT is an online entrance exam conducted by IIM every year at the national level for admission in management programmes. Eligibility criteria required to apply for CAT exam are as under :- -The candidate must have passed graduation degree with a minimum of 50%(45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate from a recognized university.The candidates appearing for the final year their degree can also apply for the exam. -There is no restrictions on age limit and no.of attempts to apply for the exam. -Selection procedure involves of following three stages: * Written exam , * Group discussion , and * Interview. |

CAT stands for Common admission test which is an entrance examination conducted by IIMs for admission to the postgraduate and fellow programs in management.
The minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for CAT is that the candidate must have passed his/ her graduation with an aggregate of 50% marks or its equivalent CGPA. 5% relaxation is provided for SC/ ST/ PWD and DA category candidates. As, you have secured less than 50% marks in your graduation, you are not eligible to apply for CAT. The work experience cannot compensate for the same. Eligibility criteria for CAT: >>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates are eligible for the course. >>Minimum of 50% marks required in bachelor's degree to be eligible for CAT exam. You can not apply for this exam with less than 50% marks in graduation. You can apply for other management entrance exams like MAT, XAT, SNAP etc with less than 50% marks. |

CAT means Common Admission Test,that is conduct by IIM.
Eligibility criteria for CAT : Candidate must have passed graduation with 50% marks for general candidate (45% marks for ST/SC candidate). You have not mentioned in which category you belong .If you specify your category,then we can you that,you are eligible for CAT or not. Thank you. |
