I am studying ECE. I am in B.Tech 1st year 2nd semester. I have CGPA 8.5 but I have supplementary in one humanities language lab. Is it possible to change my college under WBUT in the middle of 2nd year after clearing the backlog or any lateral shift to any college in B.Tech regular course 2nd year?

No, in WBUT (now MAKAUT) you can’t change your college.

If you want to change your college after 1st year then you will have to clear WBJEE again and then get admitted to the college you desire (take admission in the first year).

No, it is not possible to change college under WBUT while pursuing B.Tech course. You need to pursue the B.Tech course from the same college where you have secured admission. You can't transfer from one college to another college in the middle of the B.Tech course. So, I suggest you to pursue your B.Tech course from the same college where you are currently pursuing your B.Tech course.

I am sorry to say that you cannot change your College to another in the second year of your B.tech degree course as it is not possible at this instant.
Since you have completed your 1st year studies in a particular College, you must have to complete your whole of the degree course from that College only.
However, if you still want to change your College to another, then you have to pursue from the very 1st year of the said course.
