Can I apply to study PhD if completed M.A. around 5 years ago?


Sir,
I have completed my M.A. and I want to study PhD. But I have completed my M.A. 5 years ago. So, can I apply for PhD now? Please reply to me asap.

Yes, you can apply for Ph.D course because you have completed M.A course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Your age should be below 28 years for JRF post.
