You can't join army school after 10th because the admission are only open for 6th and 9th standard's. If you want to join Indian Army there is no need to take admission in Army school.

In order to join Indian Army first you need to complete your 12th standard examination. after completion of your 12th examination you need to appear for National Defence Academy(NDA) entrance examination.

Qualification Criteria:

> For Army Wing: candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam organized by
the State Education Board or a University.
> For Air Force and Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval
Academy: students should have cleared the 12th or equivalent exam with Physics and
Mathematics subjects.

There is no special admission procedure in Army schools. But preference will be given to the students belonging to defence background if seats are still vacant then civilians are given admission.
Every year these schools conduct entrance exam for the students who are willing to join and you need to have you TC from your last school. you will then get admission in the class you wanted for.

On the basis of 10th you can join as a Soldier in Indian Army through various requirement rallies which are conducted from time to time. Selection will be based on the performance in written exam and physical fitness test.

If you want to go for higher posts then try to complete class 12 specially with PCM stream. So that you can apply for exams like NDA.

Procedure of admission in Army School in 11th standard:

There are two kinds of admission done- one is provisional and another one is after Board result.

Provisional admission is done on the basis of pre board or pre final exam results and it is done in the month of April and May and forms are available in the month of March.

Another admission is done after the board results are out and forms are usually available in the month of June and admission is done on the basis of final Board results. Some school may conduct interview, usually a short introduction about yourself and family.

In order to join army school in 11th standard, you should have completed your 10th standard with minimum 60% marks from a recognized board. The admission upto standard 9th are done on the basis of a written examination. But, the admission in 11th standard is based on the marks secured in the 10th examination. You also have to appear for a personal interview which will decide your selection.

Admission to Army Schools like Sainik Schools and Rashtriya Military Schools are given for class 11 standard on the basis of merit marks scored in the qualifying examination (of class 10th standard). So, all you need to do is, apply for admission form when there is a notification for it and then follow the necessary instructions instructed on the application/prospectus.
