IIT stands for Indian institute of technology, entrace exam for it is JEE advance after qualifying JEE mains which is conducted by CBSE every year.
So, there is no any prefence of reservation for CBSE students. But there is one advantage for CBSE students that, only the CBSE students can score highest CGPA than any other state board students which can help you in increasing percentile, which may increase your rank and u can get better colleges for engineering like NITs and IITs,which are the best colleges in our country.

Reservation quota is only available for the students belongs from OBC(other below caste) SC/ST(scheduled caste/scheduled tribes) EBC(extremely below caste) and the handicapped students.

IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology.
IIT colleges are the best college available in India for B.Tech and other engineering degrees up to research level.
To get admission in IIT colleges , student have to first qualify JEE Mains then they have to be in top 20 percentile of the respective board results of 12th standard then they will be allowed to appear in JEE Advance and admission is taken on the basis of JEE Advance rank.
Also, on the basis of JEE Mains rank, students can get admission in National Institute of Technology(NIT) colleges and other state colleges.

There is no reservation quota system in CBSE for admission in IIT colleges.
Students need to be in top 20 percentile ( must score above 80% marks generally in 12th) to appear in JEE Advance if the student has qualified in JEE Mains.
So, the admission in IIT colleges totally depends upon labor, determination and dedication of the student to reach the top college of India.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
