Hi, I am Mrs Ranka. My son failed in 9th std in almost all subjects. So, a big confusion whether to shift to other school or same school but in other branch or allow him to give externals​. But I think he lost interest in studies so bit confused what to do?

You should ask him for whether he want to shift to new school or new branch (art/commerce/science) or something else is going on his mind.
You may instruct and guide him, so that he can achieve his goal in his field of interest.
