My child now studying in UKG. His UKG exam completed on 31/03/2017. His date of birth 22-10-2011, now in the new revised age norms he will admitted in 1st standard. The minimum age criteria required to take admission in 1st standard is 5 years 6 months as on 31st March of the year of admission. The candidate should have passed UKG from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for 1st standard admission. Since, your son has attained the age of 6 years, he is eligible to get admission in 1st standard.

The minimum age criteria required for the admission in the first standard of CBSE board school is 5 years old at the time of admission.

Candidates must attain an age of 5 years at the time of admission.

First thing I would like to let you know that the age criteria for admission in schools affiliated to different board varies might varies with varying board of education and hence without knowing your desired board of education it is difficult to say anything about admission criteria followed for different board of education.

But for your information I would like to let you know the age criteria criteria for admission in schools affiliated to national boards like CBSE, ICSE and NIOS which is 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which you are pursuing his/her Class 10th in case of CBSE where as in case of NIOS and ICSE age criteria is that which is followed by concerned State board of education.

In order to get admission for any candidate in 1st standard, the candidate should have attained the minimum age of 3 years and 6 months. The candidate will further on have to appear for an interview along with their parents.

Any candidate not having attained the age of 3.5 years will not be eligible to appear for admission. However in your child's case, he is eligible to get admission in 1st standard, therefore you should move on with the admission procedures in various schools.

According to my knowledge your child is eligible to get admitted in 1st standard. As every school has different rules and regulations but even after all this if your child is under 5-6 years then he or she will be eligible to get admitted in 1st standard in any of the good school.

Followings are the age criteria for Nursery, LKG, UKG, 1st Standard:
>Age limit for admission in nursery is 2 years 6 months to 3 years 6 months.
>Age limit for LKG is 3 years 6 months to 4 years 6 months.
>Age limit for UKS is 4 years 6 months to 5 years 6 months.
>Age limit for admission in 1st standard is 5 years 6 months to 6 years 6 months.

In case of age related issues for admission in 1st standard, schools are very strict and they won't give admission, if the child is not according to the age criteria.

Hence, it would be better to wait for your child to complete the age or try for admission in some other school.

The minimum age criteria for admission of a candidate in class 1st is about 5 years and 6 months as per the norms. So, candidates those who attain the above mentioned age can very much get admission in 1st standard in a particular School.

Age criteria for admission is depend upon the board through which the school is affiliated. As every board has different criteria for age. Mainly, the board has defined criteria for class 9th . There is no any maximum age limit criteria. Mai not the criteria is defined for minimum age limit.

Age limit criteria is depends upon board. Mainly the criteria is that a candidate should have minimum 5 or 6 years of age to take admission in class 1st.
