Hi friends, I am studying in 11th standard and I want to join Indian Navy. So, I would like to know about the steps through which I can achieve my aim. I am a Science student so please let me know about the steps asap. Thank you!

Your interest to join Indian Navy is really appreciable. But, I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to join Indian Navy after class 11. Check the eligibility criteria below.

Eligibility Criteria:

>> Candidates age must be between 16 and 19.5 years.

>> Candidates should complete class 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and they should have physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects.

>> Candidates must be citizens of India.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates selections in the recruitment process will be based on the order of merit of performance in all the stages.

To join Indian Navy being a 11th standard student, you have to pursue your 12th standard and then you have to appear in UPSC NDA examination. Eligibility criteria required to apply for UPSC NDA examination is mentioned below :-

--> You should be a citizen of India.

--> You should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a Government recognised board.

--> You should be in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years.

--> You should be an unmarried male candidate.

--> You should be physically as well as mentally healthy.

To join Indian navy after completion of 12th board with PCM stream ,you have to clear
NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

Eligibility criteria for UPSC NDA Examination :
You should be citizen of India.
Age limit is 16.5 to 19.5years.
Applicable to unmarried person.
Pshysically fit as fitness standards given by UPSC NDA Examination.

For recruitment in Indian Navy as an officer you have to appear and qualify in NDA examination.

The examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Eligibility to appear in examination is that :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board.

Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

Only male candidates are eligible.

Candidate must have passed 12th in Physics and Mathematics as main paper.

Examination will be conducted in two stages and after qualifying in it will become eligible for selection as officer in Indian Navy.

You can join Indian Navy through NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and this examination is conducted by UPSC.

NDA has three wings:

1. Indian Army

2. Indian Navy

3. Indian Air Force.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM as a main paper from a recognized board. Final year candidate are also eligible.

2. Candidate age must be 16.5 to 19.5 years.

3. Candidate must be an Indian unmarried male.

After qualifying NDA entrance exam then you are eligible for SSB interview for final selection.

Being a student of Class 11th, you can only apply for the Indian Navy non-artificer cadre ( i.e; Sailor's entry ) at this stage for the SSR entry or officer's entry in Indian Navy, you need to have completed your Class 12th in Science stream from a recognized board.

Further, for joining non-artificer cadre, you need to be an unmarried Indian male candidate with your age lying within 17 years to 21 years. Also, you must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

Steps to be followed for joining in Indian navy are given below:

- First complete your 12th class education with minimum 60% in PCM from any recognised board.
- After completing 12th class education you need to attend the NDA exam.
- NDA (National Defense Academy) is an entrance exam conducted twice every year by UPSC.
- You need to fill the application form through online and pay the registration fees.
- Submit the application form with required documents.
- Attend the exam & qualify in merit so that you can get admission in Indian navy.
